On my 1st appt 6/6 i should have been 9w1d by lmp. By u/s sac measured 5w6d and said they saw no pole.
Details:
Lmp: 4/3/19
Bfp: 5/5/19

Had a transvaginal U/s 6/6 - tech said my bladder was FULL and didnt have me empty it . the whole time she kept saying it was pushing my uterus down and was having a hard time even finding my ovaries. She also didnt insert wand as far as other ones ive had done.

Just curious if these factors could effect the quality of image. I see things on them just cant make them out to be what exactly.

Please help. I go for a repeat on the 20th.

Sorry just to clarify - you haven't had a period since 4th March? Or are you using american dates?

I don't know if a full bladder can influence the ultrasound. Have you had your blood tested?x

For internal ultrasounds bladders need to be empty.

When I had mine my bladder wasn’t quite empty BUT the wand wasn’t pushed in as far as other ultrasounds I’ve had (to check ovaries etc).

Ive read they need to empty and according to her it looked like i could have peed 5 gallons . i just didnt know if it would effect the ultrasound enough to be incorrect reading or not.

I think it could impact it but I’m not sure to what degree as internal ultrasounds tend to be much clearer then external.

Well I ended up going to dr a day early for rescan due to cramps and bleeding. Officially diagnosed as a blighted ovum. D&C first thing in the morning.

I'm so sorry hun... The procedure itself isn't too bad but the emotional pain is much harder to bear. Take the time you need and don't do anything if you're not up for it. Hope ypu and the oh can comfort each other in this tough time...
Take care of yourself...x
