My Lo is turning one in a months time.....but she doesn't need anything! I have all the clothes from my older daughter still for her.....we are childminders so have a play room fully equipped with toys and activities for all age groups - so if she gets toys they get played with by all children, as keeping them for when they're not around only means she can play with them one day a week! lol. One of the activity cubes she got for Christmas ended up in the playroom so she could play with it more often, got broken by other children last week and had to be thrown out :(

So, I have no idea what to get her and family and friends are asking and I have no idea what to say! :wall2:

My son had a smart trike for his first birthday, which I thought would be an idea to use instead of pushchair, but I use a double and triple pushchair daily so again would only be something she could use once a week at most:roll:

money is the only option, but not much fun and doesn't seem right for 1 year old:oooo:

What about new clothes for her I know you have loads but might be nice to have some new just for her bday and what about vouchers so u can pick things up through the year? Are you going on holiday this year? Maybe some currency so she can have treats while you are away?

Erm or money into a savings account for her ? I think youl get presents anyway haha people love excuse to buy baby clothes or toys I've found

I couldn't think of much for my DDs so they each got a mini armchair so they had their special place to sit.

They still love them now at 5 and almost 4!

Emma turned 1 a few weeks ago. My mil bought her premium bonds, and a little toy. And my father in law had his gf bought her Clark's vouchers which I thought was a good idea.

I think at one she wont know hun so dont feel bad we put money in Harry's account n just bought him a few small bits(books, puzzle n soft toy) we too have a playroom now full of toys for all ages that he will have to share with all the children. What about a day out somewhere fun u cud take photos n make a scrap book of her first bday where u went wat she ate the cake etc. Even if it's just the park or something I'm sure she will love to look back on that one day.

Harper also got premium bonds for her birthday from family. Vouchers or money is good if your LO has a bank account? I say to anyone who asks money as harper has loads of toys, and it goes into her junior isa x

We always ask for mothercare vouchers as they can be spent in ELC too, so if there is anything they need, clothes, toys, bedding, cups etc can all be bought from there.

I've got some garden bits - swing , sandpit etc

And have asked for ELC/ARGOS/clothes vouchers as my son is 1 next week and ATM needs nothing but vouchers mean during the year I can drip feed him new toys and clothes where required

Family happy with that x

What about something for her room? Toddler bed or something like that for when she is ready? Lucie got a play tent for her bday and we put it in her bedroom until the weather picked up. I also asked for girly hair bobbles/slides etc for her as they are quite pricey from Claire's etc and my SIL loved going and choosing them. Clarks vouchers are good tho!

What about books? IMO children can never have too many books - it's always nice to have something new to read and even if she gets some that are a little too old for her, they're there for the future :)

What about a toy that she wouldn't share with the other children that she'd keep in her own room? Maybe a build a bear with some clothes for it so she has something she can collect when she gets a bit bigger?
