Joshua wont stop crying. He doesn't sound in pain, disscomfort, hes not hungry (he had 6fl oz less than 3 hours ago) and hes not trying to suck on my finger, i changed his nappy 3 times in an hour just in case, i played with him, let him be for a few minutes and HE WONT STOP. hes not bringing his knees up to his chest

im actualy sitting here crying cos i cant take it anymore. i feel so bad that i cant settle him at all....phils gone out despite the fact hes crying so much as he has stuff to do...

i just dunno what to do anymore....

cant call my mum cos shell say feed him, my gran swears blind hes permanently cold and so should jhust wrap him up.... iv no one else to talk to and i have a pounding headache. im fed up of people telling me that babies will cry even if its true cos it doesnt help im just at an absolute loss

It is awful when you just dont know whats wrong, I have been there a few times myself. I dont know what to suggest for you to try, he could be picking up on you being upset? Have you tried leaving him in a room, going away, having a cuppa and calming yourself down?

 The only other thing I can think of is that Morgan started crying just before he falls asleep in the day. I have to holdhim sideways (like BF position) and gently jiggle or rock and he falls asleep. I have no idea where it came from cos he always used to just fall asleep wherever, whenever. Is he due a nap?

Big hugs, Im sorry youre feeling so lonely

the only hing i can think of is to wrap up warm and go for a walk fresh air might help you calm down and send joshua off to sleep

hope he settles for you xx

Chhers everyone! I'm gonna really struggle getting out as there is a foot and a half of snow here!!! Tried rocking him but nothing.... X

I can only echo what the girls have already said. Does he like baths? Maybe that might take his mind off whatever it is hes crying over. If it gets too much, maybe put him down in his bed and just give yourself a few minutes then see to him again. It always makes it worse when you're upset over it too.

you can give them cooled boiled water if that might settle him even if hes not hungry. I cant think of anything else, like the bath idea.

I wrapped him in a blanket made sure he was warm n literally carried him round my garden seemed to work however he's just woken up for food. Woop thanks for all ur helpeveryone x

He might be tired hun? Amelia gets teasy like that when she's tired and tries to fight sleep but I rock her and she falls asleep on me instantly. I would try it hun :)

Hope you had an ok afternoon. Had times like this too. With us it seemed to be tiredness and big screamin gfits cos nothing would help him go off to sleep. Best bet for us was walking in pram/baby carrier. Not so easy with all your snow though:(:( Hope you're feeling better x

Tiredness can sometimes cause babes to cry - when my lo gets over tired i can only settle her y feeding her in bed and letting her to drift off. Walking is good or a drive but snow isn't much help! Just relax i'm sure it will pass x
