12 week scan waiting times?

I waited 3 weeks for my letter and I'll be going on 14 weeks when I have my scan. Everywhere is different xx

Are you not having the Down syndrome test done? The midwife told me if i wanted that test, i must have my scan before 13 weeks, which is why I'm a bit curious cause the midwife put me at 8 weeks going on 9 x

I was supposed to but the hospital can't fit me in before then, I am a bit disappointed to be honest but there's nothing I can do about it now, that test didn't exist on my other 3 children though it was just the blood test then, so fingers crossed that will come back ok x

Well my youngest is 8 next month and it wasn't around when I had her, however I've just spoken to midwife and she said it's fine as long as done before 14+1 xx

I see! I have known women be given results from this test and not having a clear definite answer either way, which must be worse than not having it at all. I was in two minds over whether to have it.

I was exactly the same, and I will be asking if it will be as accurate as I'll be close to the cut off. If it's not then I won't be having it done. She said they like to do it between 11 and 13 weeks but 14 is the absolute latest x

They just take certain measurements of baby to determine what the chances are if your baby having DS. Think baby needs to be at a certain stage of growth to take the measurements x
