Is it worth a Dr's visit?

She is feeding fine and doesn't sleep well at the best of times so I guess she is sleeping normally. Still getting a few smiles (she is grumpy though) and no temp but she is so weeny.

James didn't get his first cold until he was much older and the only time he ever had a cough we ended up in hospital for 3 nights?

Always worth a visit with any concerns, no matter what. I hope she feels better soon :-)

I took my lo when she was around 9/10 weeks for the same think and they said it will go on it's own and didn't give us anything.

You can get snuffle babe which is like a Vicks and some cough medicines for 3months plus.
We also used to put some Olibus oil on a bib and hang it on the outside of Moses basket

With her being so young I would ring the doctors for advice if you're worried. My doctors are generally good at seeing my son as soon as I tell them how young he is. Getting seen myself is another matter entirely!!

Always worth a visit if your worried, I used to put sufflebabe on the bottom of my sons feet at nighttime and it worked a treat with colds when he was little.

Poor little Bee! If it makes you feel any less anxious about going in, my youngest had a cold at 12 days old on a Saturday and we took her to a&e. They were probably lying but they said they would rather see us than not! But I agree take her even if it's just to get her chest listened too. Mine is now 22 weeks and also has a cough and cold so it sounds like a virus making the rounds.xx

Definitely worth a visit if you're worried. They will always see babies no matter what. Imogen has a similar thing at the min, it's so hard when we can't help them. Hope Bee feels better soon xx

Finley's pretty much had a cold from being 3 weeks (he's 8 weeks now). It just keeps getting passed between us all, then Harry comes home from playgroup with another one

I asked the doctor when we had our check up last week and she said (as I thought she would) that there's nothing they can do, it'll go in it's own time

Just keep them elevated as much as possible, saline spray for nose and moist atmospheres (I take Finn in his bouncer into bathroom when I have my shower).

Same here as u Becky, Caleb is the same, cold since he was 3 weeks, 8 weeks tomorrow and he still has it! Xx

Gonna ring at 8.30 to get an appointment as she is sounding a bit wheezy now (only when she coughs).

We did get a little sleep but we've had to cancel our plans today as I can't drag poor little baby out anywhere. If she gets the ok at the dr's I'll take James for a run around at park across the road. ..

Sorry to moan but I thought bf'ing was meant to help their immune system? James was ff and didn't have any colds when he was a baby. This is Bee's 2nd or 3rd (albeit the only one that's actually made her poorly enough for the GP)

Poor little lady.

Def get her checked out if you're worried hun.

Hope she's better soon.

Ah hun, sorry she's still poorly. I have pretty much the exact day planned as my littlest's cough has started to sound wheezy so making an appointment at 8.30 and if all is well taking toddler to the park for a run around. I think this winter has been particularly rough with coughs, colds and bugs. Not to mention having an older sibling. My eldest got her first cold at 10 months and my youngest at 12 days - both ebf!

I hope all is well with little Bee!x

Dr gave us the all clear so we've just had a few hours in the park. Well Bee was asleep most of the time ha ha.

Rang at 8.30, appt at 9 and was out by 9.15 (despite two dr's looking at her - which is standard with babies that young and coughs / wheezing). Was well impressed as usually at my surgery you are left waiting... and waiting.

Just need to keep an eye and go back on Friday if no Improvement.
Typically she was smiling and cooing at dr's and only coughed once lol.

Well we're having to go back to Dr this afternoon as Bee is sounding really wheezy.... I'm not massively worried as it sounds more like when you need to clear your throat (you know when you have a cough and wheeze until you actually cough?) as opposed to her actually having trouble breathing.

Best to get seen before the weekend though.
