Jeez, it's tough this.

We still don't have agreement on a short list of names for the nugget!!

It's starting to worry me a little bit now, the poor child is likely to be named baby for weeks!!

Im finding it hard to initiate the discussion with OH too which doesn't help. I can't get him to take it seriously. And he just keeps repeating names he like that I think are stupid.

Is it likely that a name will just 'come to us' when the baby is born?

If that makes you feel better in my country (Greece) they only start calling the baby by its name after is christianized (all baby's are there) and that's around 8-12 month old so people procrastinate everything until time comes

Until then the bay is named pumpkin, sweetie, sweet pie, handsome etc etc..surprisingly our babies there still learn their name eventually after they are given one
I am sure it will be easier when you will meet LO. Until then keep searching and maybe make a short list? I am reading books (literature) and highlight names as I go....if no other inspiration baby will be named after some elfs name from the lord of the rings or something

We decided on names but then DS2 was born we didn't like it! Felt it didn't suit him! He was nameless for only half an hour! U will prob know when u see ur LO

Are you not even close to anything for a boy or girl?

I guess you've done all the baby books and looked online?

Maybe you both need to (separately) make a list from A-Z and pick a name you like from each letter - that you can and see if there is anything on either list you can work with? Obviously you'll need to do it for both gender's.

Otherwise you can alway name the little one after the midwife that delivers him / her?

We are exactly the same - hence my other posts on here!! I find the closer it's getting the more I'm changing my mind!! I think I'll feel immense pressure when we send out the 'arrival' text if we haven't got a name!!!

I would try to narrow it down then to two names for each gender and then see what he /she looks like after arrival, then your not so under pressure. baby will just suit one name more
