I remember having an argument with my brother (who was dad to a 1.5 year old at the time) about whether my 3 month old should be allowed some ice cream! "Its only a little bit of ice cream" I told him to stick to parenting his own child and let me do mine. FFS even if I was weaning her the last thing I'd let her have would be ice cream! He even suggested that she was missing out because we were all having ice cream - funny how no-one complained when I was (breast) feeding her that they wanted some!
