I've booked the 3 middle kids swine flu jabs :eh:

Next Wednesday, hope I don't regret it :(

No they've all had the flu jab before so I'd imagine they'll get full doses as well :(

I really want them to have it but I'm worried at the same time...

Aww hun, they will be fine, best to have the jab then to have actual swine flu if you ask me.

I know exactly how you feel...it's meh isnt it....

I'm sure you won't regret it... I'd do the same if either of mine was high risk

It's a no brainer when they have anything underlying.

Mamafy there isn't a live virus in the vaccination, I havn't heard anything bad at all about the jabs.. I think you have done the right thing:hug: xx

My son had half a dose yesterday. I had to collect him from school at dinner time today as he was shivery, had a headache and a sore arm, he looked like death warmed up but after a sleep and some paracetamol he was fine. Lets just say he's not keen on getting the other half dose in 4 weeks time, bless him. I still think i did the right thing getting it for him as he has ashtma but its put me off getting it xx

i have my LO booked in on saturday morning for his swine flu jag. is it true they get it in 2 doses not really had a chance to speak to a doc cause their secretary just phoned to make the arrangment.

It seems so hun :( just checked and found this :wall:

  • For individuals aged 60 years and over:
    - one dose given (this advice will be reviewed
    when more data become available).
  • For individuals aged 10 years and over with weakened immune systems:
    - two doses (0.5ml each) given with a
minimum of three weeks between doses.
Celvapan:
  • For children aged from six months and adults:
    - two doses (0.5ml each) given with a
minimum of three weeks between doses.

can you request your child to get the jab? im due to go in and get my swine flu one due to the type of job im in, im classed as priority, but due to this, would that not mean the ppl in my family should get it too? cos im at high risk of getting the flu due to my job so could pass it on to my family, just a thought. x

i would def ask i got phone call for my wee on e but my friend went in to see her if her lo could get it and they booked her in.

my lo had first half on saturday and he is fine not up or down with it so im pleased:)

Thanks for that Karen, makes me feel abit more confident :)

All done :) Joe cried abit, poor wee man and the girls winced abit too :(

Cara is complaining of a sore arm since but no other side effects as yet  Joe got a half dose and back after Xmas for 2nd dose.

Katie will be called in January they said, not looking forward to getting her done. She hid under the table while her sisters and brother were getting theirs done  She HATES the nurse

 glad all went well honey, they all sound very brave, even katie, i too always want to hide under the table, i hate needles! xx

Correction - all 3 of them feel abit off  Me and my big gob
