Yay! :D Finally made it!

Ok so tomorrow i will be halfway through my pregnancy!

YAY! Although Morning Sickness is still there Baby is kicking away and have my 20w scan on Wednesday! Things are finally starting to come together the only major thing left to do is to find a flat that is big enough for me OH and LO not just me!

As im on HB so get my rent part paid for it means if i move to a 2 bed flat now i will have to find the extra cash every month until the baby is here as they will only pay for 1 bed!

So looks like will be leaving all that till maternity leave!

Can't you get a council house rather than private renting...? surely they would move you as soon as baby was born x

i could do but that would mean not being able to choose the area....and quite a few council areas around here arent to nice and there are a shortage too so quite likely i will get put in a hostle with baby and then dad wont be able to be there. Just gunna struggle for 1 month and then can set it all up while on ML and then we can choose the house/flat and the area!

Im in the same boat Hun but things changed for me n I had to move bk to mums
Due to severe pains n hospitalisation.
What council u with??? Cos u won't be a priority cos ur pregnant, the younger generation messed that up for us.
If u have any underlying health issues (back problems) get ur midwife/dr to give u a certificate so it will push ur priority band up. It's so hard to get a place.
Private is where I was before but moving to a two bed will be expensive as u will have to find ur deposit n 1 months rent in advanced.
HB won't cover that part.
I don't want to go council either but nowadays u can bid for the properties that you want

my council Worthing Borough do a grant for people on low income which basically is a certificate which says they pay the deposit. So like a bond! Im only 19 and have been on the council list for 3 years since i moved out of home and they still wouldnt house me, hence why im on HB instead! Tempted to get a 1 bed place for now and then wait till baby is here and then move. Then i know i definately ahve somewhere even if it isnt a 2 bed place. But baby will be in with us anyway so doubt it will make all the difference to begin with
