Would you buy my house?

id buy it hun i mean wot ever house u buy most people repaint neway

i mean our old house was horrible lol had like yellow gold walls in the lounge my room was sexy pink my sis was dark blue and the person who was having my room was a 20 year old bloke heheeh

I think it's lovely Cat. It's not too strong colour scheme at all, in fact, from what I can see, most rooms are pretty neutral apart from one wall. The only thing that isn't is your kitchen, which I love!

Having said that, I had a very strong colour scheme in a house I sold 2 years ago, and it was on the market for 4 months with no interest. I then spent one weekend with 2 very large pots of B & Q magnolia emulsion, and packed away any strong coloured accessories, and I had an offer for the full asking price 2 weeks later. So if you are worried, it may be worth just neutralising everything you can. Some people just can't see past a lick of paint!

It's lovely, don't move!!! What a nice garden too!

Your house is lovel and the colour scheme is great. DF wants a kitchen like yours, I'd buy your house if I had the money
You get so much more for your money up your way than you do down here... xx

It's lovely. I would definitely buy it if it were in Leeds and if I had the money lol.

Its simialr to mine, mainly neutral but with one wall a bold colour. Some people may not like it but from the sounds of it there are plenty who will. See how it goes and good luck :D

Thanks all.
The plan is to move to Norwich suburbs, so OH doesnt have to commute, and can just bike to work. That way he gets more family time, instead of just coming home when Noah goes to bed. Plus we can have more of a social life, as as pretty as Beccles is, its a bit dull for young people. But its hard trying to find a property to house all 5 cars! we have found and had an offer excepted on one, but if we dont get a buyer in a week the house goes back on the market, and we havent even had any viewings yet :(

Does anyone know roughly how long it takes between a house going on the market and people coming round to view?

Went on the market at the start of this week. Would you buy it? Im just a bit concerned that our colour scheme is quite strong and might put people off, not being 'nutral' and all that.

yes why not.
Id change the coluor scheme to my taste as would anyone. I can't stand these folk who are put off a house by the colour scheme. I mean for kooks sake you can cHANGE it when its yours ! Simple as that.

Why are you moving?

its part of the fun of moving, making it yours. when we sold ours we were told to tone it down, it had red walls. it sold fine, and they still have the red walls 5 years later :D

ps budge, Cat explains why she is moving in the post above

I'd buy it hun, it is not like they are mad in your face colours, I think they are very tasteful and easy to use your imagination on as they are not consuming the photo either!

I don't think you have anything to worry about babe  xx

I think it's lovely.

I can't stand that House Doctor programme if all they do is a lick of paint and suddenly people coming round to view act like it's a different house.

When we bought this house it was in a right state, if you can't see past the cosmetic to the house underneath you are proper fick.

I like it.

I dont think the colour scheme is bad, i think its lovely and neutral and i love the kitchen, I love the inside of the house but im not too keen on the outside look at the front it might just be the colour of the garage that really sticks out though on that piccy.

Its a very good price too! I would buy it..:).

The speed you're property sells depends on the area I guess, i know our house would sell quick because there is a waiting list for this area and we get letters through all the time asking us to sell...do you ever get them in you're area.

Also i would state that you want a instant sale because that takes the right for people to buy you're house whilst still selling theirs away and that the contract has to be signed and money transferred ASAP.

HTH & good luck!
