Hello Ladies,
So heres my story... I'm 4w+3 and this is my first pregnancy and we are over the moon!!
I have been fairly fine during the past few weeks, no real symptoms which doesn't bother me. However until 20/10/15 at 6pm I started spotting, it was brown/red discharge, which scared the hell out of me, I didn't know what to do so I rang NHS 111, after a hour or so the out of hours doc rang and basically just said there was nothing to do but sit and relax and on the following morning visit my doc... So I did.
Now, 21/10/15, the spotting has continued but now its a very light brown, still like discharge though. I haven't filled a pad, and I have barley marked one!
I saw my doc this morning and this resulted in the doc having a internal look (not a scan, clamps and everything ) he took a few swabs to where I then saw darkish red blood, which also scared the hell out of me, however since then I have not yet passed any red! Anyways, he also said that my cervix was slightly open but he wasn't too concerned about it. He took some blood for HCG and i'm going back Friday for my second lot doing...
I haven't had many symptoms as stated above apart from, soreish nipples, vains all over them (they look like a road map!), areolas are fairly dark brown, little dots all over them, and bleeding gums. I feel as if the soreness of my nipples are subsiding however.
So here are my questions...
Has anyone had any swabs done, did the results come back okay?
The spotting i'm experiencing is virtually stopped, I see light brown every now and then, is this a good sign?
I have anxiety so it will probably seem like i'm worrying over nothing, but I like to have reassurance.
My doc said it all seems positive but he said he can't really say i'll be okay just in case, which I understand.
I'm going out of my mind with worry and I can't relax, I would love for one of you to say 'Yep, thats happened to me and everything was successful' because this would make my mind ease until Friday, I know everyone is different but that little bit of hope will help.
