I'm 9 weeks pregnant and I am such an over thinker! I keep reading into beginnings of pregnancy and one of the most common things is spotting but I am yet to spot, is that normal? They say spotting and cramps are normal but I've only had the cramps, is no spotting a bad thing??

Iv got two boys and I didn't spot once. I also didn't have morning sickness or any other pregnancy symptoms! Everyone is different so try not to worry. X

Congratulations! Try not to panic, every person experiences different things. I haven't spotted at all and didn't last time either but instead both pregnancies I've suffered with horrible sickness!

Happy healthy 9 months! X

I always think to myself, there's a difference between common and normal. Normal is something that is supposed to happen, such as a bit of pain and stretching and tugging sensations as your uterus grows. Bleeding is something this isn't really supposed to happen but it does happen for a lot of women. So bleeding is common but not normal. That doesn't mean it's always bad when you do bleed, but you should know that because it's common but not normal, it should always be checked out if it happens.

Don't know if that makes sense or if I'm just waffling lol ;)

I never had spotting or cramps with my first pregnancy and haven't had them this time round either.
It's a normal pregnancy symptom but not necessarily a common one if you get what I mean?

Any type of bleeding during pregnancy is not considered normal and should always be checked out.

Although a lot of women will spot/ bleed during pregnancy and it is a common occurrence, it is not normal and should be discussed with gp, mw, epu etc.
