I got my induce date and its coming round fast lol.

But when everyone else is worried about the pain etc (which I am aswell) I'm more worried about something going wrong?
I've had 2 close friends have still births. And this is playing on my mind ALOT.

Due to me having pregnancy diabetes, I get weekly monitorings which put my mind at ease that lil miss is ok, but my consultant seems to slip the word "risk of still birth" in to conversations and it's worrying me.

What if my baby is born and never cries? I'm getting to the stage where I want her here now :-(. I'm uncomfortable with the SPD, but I can live with that, I just want to know everything is going to be ok x

aw huge hugs hun. It is incredibly hard at times to put other peoples bad experiences to the back of your mind at times. I think it sounds as tho your being watched and monitored well. I cant really offer more advice this is my first baby just that we are all here if you need to talk or vent

Hun I know how you feel...

Its odd though because not once have they mentioned the risk of stillbirth..but they did say that we have to be extra aware about movements. The first sign of decreased movement and they will get them out and therefore lower the risk of still birth!!

All Ive been told is that baby MAY have a risk of a hypo at birth therefore I have to have him at hospital not birth centre, as he'll need to be where they can stabilise his bloods.

If you look on the diabetes websites there are hundreds of stories of successful births.

I know its not much of a comfort hun and believe me the thought has crossed my mind too and it's really not nice :( BUT you will be in the best place, with people that deal with this day in day out xxxxxxx

Didn't want to read & run. Just wanted to send you a (big hug) and I hope you have a smooth labour & delivery. Try not too worry. That's what the midwives & doctors are there for! xxx

ah dont worry too much honey x your being monitored very closely x have you asked your consultant what exactly he means when he says about still birth? what he thinks and what hes doing about it, might put your mind at rest babes.

I think it's a fear in the back of all our minds.......but I can c y u r struggling with it with 2 close friends having 1st hand experience of this. I just think that there isn't anything u can do hun to control what wil happen.....I am sure that all will be fine, u just gotta try and stay calm and trust that the Dr's/MW's will do everything they can and get LO out quickly if they need to! U are being monitored regularly and are more aware of keeping an eye on things, I am sure everything will be fine hun * BIG HUG *
