Worried

Hi, I had my blood tests done yesterday for hormones, thyroid, glucose and a blood count as I have a family history of PCOS and not had AF since coming off pill in May (well I told doc March), and they say they'll be back in 3 to 5 days so I'm gonna phone the docs on friday, just in case. First I was excited to be tested out so early and I'll finally get an answer cos AF has never been regular or normal for me. But now I'm starting to feel a bit nervous. What if they find something really wrong, not just with my women's bits, but in general. I know I'm probably being paranoid and stupid. I don't know what i'd do if I find out I'll never have kids

How long for your results?

I'm sure & hope everything will be just fine for you & if by chance there is a ikkle problem there are so many ways round these ikkle problems now when they are spotted.

Thats exactly the same tests i had done last week, i saw the doctor yesterday for the results.
The PCOS one wasnt back yet, the thyroid was low but the rest were normal.

Do you think there may be something wrong? I sort of knew my thyroid one would come back with something but otherwise i never thought anything else was wrong and i was right.

Thanks everyone. My sis had or has PCOS and took 12 years (on and off with various BF's) to conceive. I dont thinks there's anything really wrong, I'm probably not ovulating, but you never know, what if they find something else. I'm just being stupid I feel ok and I'm never ill, I've not even had a day off work sick for 2 years. SOMEBODY SLAP ME!!!

Thanks, I'm gonna phone the docs for them tomorrow to see if they're back. They probably won't be, but it's worth a try.

They should be back after a week, thats when i made the appointment for the results,a week later. But after 6 days i had a letter through to say they were in

Yay, I got results back today. I have to make an appointment to discuss them better but basically they show that i'm not ovulating and the more worrying is my glucose levels are high but at least it's getting sorted. Doc said it may be just something that is nothing to do with my fertility. Then I do remember a huge chocolate gataux we had last weekend

Not yet, it was only a doc (who I've nevery seen before) phoned me up to give me the results, I'll know more when I make the appointment I suppose. He said to make the appointment with the doc who sent me for the bloods but what if I cant get in to see her soon, it'll be ok to make it with anyone, wont it?
