Has anybody else had this problem? I've been given 16/09/15 as my EDD, but there was only ONE time me and my partner could have concieved, which would make our due date 29/08/15, not the 16/09/15.. Which is worrying me incase either are wrong! If theirs is and I don't go into labour naturally (as I didn't with my first son - he held in as long as he could and had me in labour for 6 DAYS), then I will be 4 WEEKS AND 5 DAYS overdue before they will do something!! It's scaring the crap out of me!! They measured baby's weight at 4.5lb at 32 weeks - my son was only 3lb roughly at that stage and was born 7lb so little worried!!!

My baby weighed 4.15 at 32 week scan so wouldn't worry about that.

Have you mentioned your date concerns to midwife? x

I estimated at 4lb at 31 weeks so I don't think that's too bad. Must be worrying though xx

I didn't know they could estimate a weight at a growth scan that's kinda awesome. Definitely speak to your midwife Hun especially if it's bothering you this much better to talk to her about it xxx

I think 4lb at 32 weeks is within normal limits, my twins were estimated at 3.7 and 3.75 lbs (at 32 weeks) - which is considered normal for a singleton pregnancy.
I would mention it to your mw/Dr if it's worrying you though.

On all my scan notes there is a weight section, do you have a booklet or is it online? Xx

I have a booklet but they haven't ever told us an estimated weight just got my booklet out to have a look now as I'm curious xx

This one was 7lb at 35.5 weeks, expecting to be just shy of 9lb at 40 weeks.

From what I've been told, the dating scan is usually fairly accurate. I am convinced I conceived earlier that what they have said with both babies but they brushed me off. That's probably because I didn't really push it though, I would go to your mw and really hammer it that you're 100% on your conception date. Push comes to shove, you can apparently opt for an elecrive section now on the NHS so that may be an option to consider at 37-38 weeks according to their dates, putting you at roughly 40 weeks according to yours.

I think I was estimated around 4lb at 31 weeks and 6lb 4 at 35+3. The estimated weights are not always that accurate though - my little boy was born at 38 weeks exactly and weighed 6lb 3 which was 1 ounce less than his estimated weight 2 1/2 weeks earlier! xx

I thought that it could take up to 2 weeks for the egg to be fertilised depending on ovulation and so the date when you conceived technically be a week or 2 after when you think. I'm pretty sure I know when we conceived too which would give us a due date of 8th August but dating scan says 17th which means it was over a week later - surely if you're dates are a couple of weeks out then it's more likely that you'll have baby a couple of weeks early rather than going 4 weeks overdue? It would be very unlikely you'd go to 44 weeks without going into labour and if you didn't it would only be a problem if the placenta started to break down which the midwife would b able to identify at your midwife appointments anyway I think? Would try not to worry too much as think the scans are pretty accurate and babies do grow at different rates but have a word with your midwife if you're really worried as I'm sure she will be able to put your mind at ease x

Because of when baby would have been conceived I'm Defo 100% on the conception - was a very unexpected time lol not sure how long fertilisation takes I assumed it was around 5 days as the sperm can also live for 5 days inside(sounds crude) lol I have low lying placenta and didn't go into labour naturally with my son I think that's why I'm so worried! Plus my EDD was 6th nov with my son and I didn't have him until 22nd dec - also worrying me as their dates were WELL out then, although I knew they were wrong and it finally managed to correct them took me until 34 weeks before they would listen though! They just aren't listening at all this time and it's worrying me as I don't want anything bad happening as I'm sure all mummy's understand lol, my son is a live wire so I'm constantly buzzing about so maybe go into labour on my own this time hopefully - though I worked almost right up to DD with my son and nothing, went into labour on 16th dec and had him 22nd. Thank goodness the weight is ok thanks mummy's that's made me feel a lot better! Lol thought I was having an elephant because my first boy was 7lb at birth lol great help:-)
I also have low iron count and been put on tablets - but they don't stay down and I'm constantly vomiting, it's a 3 week course that ends Thursday coming them I need to get my iron recount done so worried my body isn't coping well - my bump is FAR bigger this time than what I was overdue with my first and baby feels alot bigger too think that's another worry on my mind!🙈
I'm in no rush for baby to come btw, just worried incase he either comes too early or far too late andy body can't cope with it (I'm just 5ft and very slim build), bit of a worry wart I think lol!
