hi,

i booked a holiday to Egypt for when my son is five months old. i had mentioned it to the health visitor countless times and she didnt seem to be worried...but now when we have eight weeks till we go i went to get my jabs and ask about his jabs and the women said i was mad for taking a five month old to Egypt!!! and they don't think they can jab him...they are checking for me!!! she said it was very dirty there and not suitable for a child this young.

i am very worried...the holiday is paid for but obviously i don't want to take any risks....

does anyone have any advice on this??

thankyou

Im sorry but tha lady sounds like an idiot you asked her about this and she barely said anything...

I cant suggest anything but to maybe go and see your gp?

xx

I would suggest seeing your GP too hun.

What part of Egypt are you going to?

I personally had a very bad experience there and found it dirty and horible but a friend of mine went to another part and had a fantastic time and took her little girl.

Sharm is absolutely stunning you'll have a great time.

I wouldn't worry about it at all....the only thing I'd say would be to take a TON of sun cream, factor 60

Are you going to go scuba diving? Some of the best dives in the world are in the Red Sea, even snorkelling you can see turtles and stuff if you're lucky :D

My friend went to Sharm and absolutely loved it.

I went to Hurghada and it was horrendous. Sharm is more touristy so better facilities. Hurghada was a building site.

You'll have a fab time :D
