I rang up Inland Rev today because i seriously have no idea what i am entitled to once Ruby is here!

we have heard off numerous people numerous things we can claim but thought i best ring and find out!!!

So we are entitled to Child Benefit and Child Tax Credit, which i think is compulsary to everyone isnt it???

I asked if we were entitled to Working Tax Credits, but they said no! OH said his workmate claims he gets it and he is on the same wages as my OH plus his partner is on, only about £200 less than me a month! but surely once my pay goes down to SMP i will be entitled to it??

i just wondered who gets WTC and also what pay must you be below to claim it?

:D

We don't get it because we earn far too much.

I used to get it before I worked though :)

Have you tried going on that entitled to site? and putting in what you both earn?

Sorry we don't get it, have no idea what the threshold is?

Yep but cant make head nor tail of the stupid website, thats why i ended up ringing them - was getting too impatient with it

We get it. OH was not on the best of wage but bordering on good wage. I told them i was on SMP. It wasn't much but we got it. I never knew my entitlement til i had Angel. I didn't call them til June, i had Angel in April. I think the threshold is a little over £15k. Don't quote me on that though.

You should be entitled to it. They are a bit more helpful once you are in the SMP situation.

You might be. My OH was once on minimum wage 44hours a week and i was on SMP. Dunno what that worked out to but must've been a bit more than that.

I get working tax credits
Call them and see anyway - they are actualy quite helpful

I get them, i'm on MA and my OH is on a low-ish wage. We only earnt 11000 between us last tax year
