:( woke up with Cystitis feeling :(

Nooo, i don't want anti-biotics as i got really bad thrush with them about a month ago...what should i do, iv'e been getting this feeling for a while now but tonight it feels bad enough to keep me up...its only ever been so slight until now...help

Cranberry juice Hun. I mix the stuff with orange juice as cranberry juice is just rank on it's own. But that should really help, along with plenty of water.x

It depends how early on you drink cranberry juice. If the infection has taken hold it won't work. I tried to use cranberry juice a couple of years ago & the infection got worse, spread to my kidneys & I ended up in hospital. If it's bothering you enough to keep you awake & burns quite a lot then I'd get antibiotics. Not all antibiotics will give you thrush & it's better than having your cystitis getting worse. I can sympathise as I've had both & had a bad year with cystitis once & it's a horrible thing to have!

It really is awfull isn't it...i think i'd rather have thrush to be honest. I can't feel it this morning, it seems to be there at night...it wasn't the worst ive had it...should i drink cranberry juice and hope it clears up or phone midwife. Hope it can't harm the baby, if i can't feel it this morning it can't be that bad can it? At my 16 week appointment there was traces of protein i am wondering if it was this? x

I have had traces if White blood cells in my urine, and each time they sent off my urine to the lab. They always ask for a second sample a week later, during which time I drank more water and cranberry juice and that seem to have stopped any full blown infection.

If your worried then do contct the midwife. Maybe try the cranberrry a water today/tomorrow and wait and see what your evenings are like. Also try and where loose cotton knickers....and always pee after sex-flushes out any bacteria that gets shoved up yoir urinary tract during playtime!x

I think i'll have to go with the water for now OH over spent at the shop now i'm totally skint... lol...ive got some bottles of water in the fridge anyways so will sup them x
