Ive tried & tried but she does not like my home cooking so we are now purely on jars. How can I encourage her to eat my food???

We're having exactly the same problem with Harrison at the moment, we've had to start giving him food before his bottle because if you give him any homemade food he makes himself gag and the whole lot comes back up agen

EDIT: Sorry hun that wasn't much help was it

Ive been using alot of the Annabel Karmel recipes, Spag bol, chicken, fish - I think it tastes lovely but madam thinks Im trying to poison her

My HV said to get Harry to eat my food I should mix something he does like in with it and gradually decrease it, yesterday we tried him with potato and he gagged it back up so we had to add yoghurt in with it and then he gobbled it up. Apparently it can take up 20 tries before a baby will take to a food

Thanks girls for your replies. Ive made so many different meals and tried her again and again over the last 3 1/2 months and still no joy :(

Hi Nicki,

Katy won't eat any of Annabel Karmel's recipes either.....have you tried just giving her what you eat with no salt added....or just meat/fish, veggies & potatos??

Katy too will eat any amount of jars but she will only eat fairly basic stuff when it comes to home cooking!!

Thanks girls, I will try Isabella with just normal cooking and see how I get on. Silly question but when you do make up your LO's dinner from what you have cooked do you give your LO their dinner and then you put your in the microwave to heat up ???

Whatever we eat the night before I tend to put in the fridge & heat up for Katy the next day......HTH!

I had exactly the same problem - a freezer full of my food but would he buggery eat it, I promise my cooking is not that bad  he would turn his nose up but then polish off a full jar! Jacob recently went through a stage of not eating, being sick and having really bad upset tummy nappies - when the community nurse asked me what he was eating and I mentioned the word 'jar' - you'd have thought that I said that I was feeding him kebab n all sorts :x now resigned myself to the fact it's jars or nothing. Don't worry girls just keep doing what you are doing!!

Xxx
