why the early scan?

I have just found out and had confirmed by the dr's that i am 4 1/2 weeks pregnant. Me and my husband had been trying for a baby for 2 years. my last 2 cycles I have been on chlomid. when i went to c the dr today he said cos of me having the chlomid he has organized for me to have an early scan in a couple of weeks. Does anyone know why this is? Any advice i would be greatful for. Thanx

I think when you have been having any kind of treatment while TTC they tend to keep a closer eye on things so early scans are the norm. Enjoy it! Most people have to wait 12 weeks for their first glimpse of their LO
