Why, oh why do I do it?

Hey ladies.

I didn't get to go to the GP yesterday! :brat:

They called my mobile around 9am and said that my GP had a family emergency and wouldn't be in and they had no appointments til Friday but they are only 10 minute slots. Hubby explained why we needed the longer timeslot and that he was really unhappy with the surgery so far - we've called 3 or 4 times for my urine sample result and every time they say they have it but Dr hadn't seen it and they don't normally give results over the phone (this was last time we called) so as we weren't able to see the GP, he asked again for my results and they started saying how we would have to wait as it is not their policy to give them over the phone!

Why the bloody hell were we told to keep calling if they wouldn't have been able to tell us?! :wall:

I know there are about 4 doctors at the new surgery but apparently they were all unavailable on the longer time slot and we would not have been able to cram everything in 10 minutes. So they have said their next available time for us would be next week. :brat:

Another whole week of waiting! We've booked to go in tomorrow (I think) as we want the results of the sample. He even explained that we needed a longer appointment to discuss fertility stuff but she wasn't budging - next week is all they had. :strangle:

I'm sorry to disappoint you all, I'm gutted and spent yesterday sulking!

CD73 today though, no AF... wondering whether to kick start AF with the Agnus Castus or wait til we see the GP?

Hey hun, thats appalling. Is there no way you can change surgeries?? I was really hoping it would all go well for you! xxxx

We changed GP's about 2 weeks ago to this one, I want to at least be able to see the GP - even if it is next week - and see how it goes. Just hope the time passes quickly!

It will do. Hopefully once you see the GP then things will start moving a lot quicker for you. I know how you feel as i had exactly the same with all the hpts. Hope your feeling a bit better xxxx

Thanks hun. Still have my down days but spending this week with DH has been amazing, he's really been looking after me.

Thats good hun. I had to go to my appointment on monday on my own as OH's arse of a boss wouldnt give him a couple of hours off to come with me. It was my results appointment aswell. It made it slightly easier as i had already come to terms with being diagnosed with PCOS. Now its the waiting game for my appointment with the hospital! x

Well, I could have had my appointment last week but DH couldn't get out of an important meeting so we changed it. :(

I reckon I have PCOS as well. How long are you having to wait for the hospital appointment?

My Doctor was booking it all for me while i was there all he would say was it would be this year! So ive been researching what i can do myself to help while i wait for my appointment. The one thing that has massively helped me is talking to my parents about it. When we first started ttc we decided to keep it a secret but when we started with the docs appointments and dealing with a possible problem it got harder and harder to be the happy smily person i usually am. I hid it from them for as long as i could but like you it just got too much. The support i have had from them since telling them has been incredible! Keep your chin up and keep smiling as much as you can - it really helps xxxx

Thanks hun. My family know that we're TTC and they've been really supportive and encouraging. :)

I don't talk much about it though - only really to my DH and just lately, aside from the GP appointments, we don't talk about it very often either.

To be honest me and OH dont talk about it too much. He's not really the talking type which doesnt bother me in the slightest. Its just the way he deals with things! I have a couple of close friends who know what is going on so if i need to then i talk to them! I'm always here to talk if you ever need it hun xxx

My OH is the same, not that I mind too much. :) Thanks hun, might take you up on that. :hugs: x x
