Why is my baby so active?

So far I've managed to sleep through it kicking. Last night I didn't. It was SO active all day yesterday it was hard to keep my mind off it at work. OH was much amused by my shape shifting belly but not amused that I couldn't get comfortable last night because if I wasn't getting punched in the lower intestine I was getting kicked in the ribs.

But we love him or her nonetheless!
