I dont know whats wrong with Evie just lately. She crys for everyone appart from me and my Mom and most of the times Ade. At first it was just when other people held her, then if they touched her, then if they looked at her and now sometimes if someone speaks in the room she crys. Its not even likes its just a little cry either she screams and screams and holds her breath until I take her back or the person moves away then shes all laughs and smiles again. Ades Mom has taken it very personally... I cant even take a shower when Im on my own with her as if Im out of her sight she screams. If I talk to someone on the phone she screams. This has been going on for a while now and I feel so bad for my friends and family who just want a cuddle but she wont let them. Its soo annoying on the bus too as people love to come over and look at her but it only makes her cry. Sometimes I feel like stopping people and saying dont look at her, talk to her or touch her youll make her cry... But then Id look crazy. When she starts crying her talk to her more and try to settle her which makes her cry even more. Then people glare at me as shes crying.
Shes also started lifting her legs in her sleep and slamming them back down on to the bed I dont know how it doesnt wake her up! It wakes me up lol.
Please tell me all of this gets better!
Rant over :D

I spoke to my HV about this just 2 weeks ago. No matter who it was she'd just scream and scream and get so worked up. I think my dad takes it personal too. What she said was it is a bit of a phase. Coz she spends a majority of her time with you. She told me not to hand her straight over to people. If you do then she just panics and cries. If you keep her sat with you, she needs to decide that they are ok and not a threat. It really does work. OH had some people stop for the weekend. Angel was sat on my knee and just looking at them. About 15-20 minutes later he came and took her and she was fine. A bit of a cry but was ok. By the end of the weekend she loved them to bits.
I know how much family love taking them straight away, but it does scare them. It is apparently just a phase though.

its the same for us as well! Its really bad with my dad but i say its cus of his glasses!

Louis is exactly the same at the moment. We visited MIL at the weekend and he screamed and screamed every time I tried to hand him over to her  She blamed it on the fact that she hadn't seen us for a month, saying that she had become a stranger to him... so yes she took it personally too  But he is doing it to anyone apart from mummy & daddy!

Angel does it to everyone except my older sister coz we see her a few times a week. I think also me and both my sisters and my mum sound similar when we talk so that helps.
She was a mess with my dad and 'MIL'. Also my neighbour went to her in the car (and she is a scary lady) she was a right state. Then she wouldn't leave her even though i said she doesn't like people, she kept trying to make her calm down. I got her in the house and she was instantly quiet.

It happens all the time when I take Louis to the shops: scary old ladies making him scream even more by talking to him!

It's like one minute they're looking at the seat in front and the next there's this face!!! It'd frighten me to be honest!

Me too  That's why I can't blame him for screaming at them

Becky was the same but it disappeared fairly quickly. Now she won't scream at strangers, she just frowns at them and looks at them suspiciously. Most people she doesn't know don't hold her for too long anyway as she tends to pull their hair out

Calleigh is generally ok as long as she is approached carefully
If someone came rushing over and in her face she will cry, like my sister who tends to shout rather than talk and the other day came in and was saying hello to Calleigh and she promptly got upset. Had to tell my sis to be a little quieter when talking to the bab.
After being in the room with people for a while she generally excepts attention from all

Oh and she does the annoying raising the legs up and bashing them on the mattress, if she doesnt do that she scrapes her nails up and down the side of the mesh in the travel cot, it sends shivers up and down my spine. And she can still manage it even though i cut her nails right down :?

Evie scratchs her bed sheets in the night. I thought there was a mouse in the room for like a week! I seem to be cutting Evies nails every few days they grow so quickly and they are so sharp lol

Babies must like scratching things, she also scratches the material when she is in her door bouncer and when she claws my face  it hurts but i love her reaching out so i keep going back
The bab has fabulous nails that grow so quickly while mummy has broken ones as she has been drinking all the good stuff through my milk leaving me with not alot

alice adores my brother, she onlly sees him for a few weeks at a time when he is back from uni, but 10 mins in the room with him and she is jumping all over him.

But if he takes of his glasses, she comes running, screaming and will not go near him till he puts them back on. She is the same with my dad. but not with me or my mum.

LO is all smiles at people when in my arms, but when they try to take her into their arms she often cries. I've found it worse with men (because of their deeper voices  ).

Interestingly, she is sometimes worse if I am in the same room as if to say that: 'why isn't mummy holding me if she is here.' If I am in another room she doesn't mind OH's family holding her as much...

Evie hates my glasses. Ive stopped wearing them as she always pulls them off and throws them. They are always covered in tiny finger prints. The bad thing about not wearing my glasses is shes taken to poking me in the eye. She loves to beat me up. Im covered in tiny scratchs and bruises from her pinching me. Im dreading her geting teeth as shes already a biter.

separation anxiety. its very very common, all babies are suppose to go through it at some stage. are there any mother and baby groups near you? praps if you participate in one regularly she'd get use to people being around you and her and some of the other mums might have been through it.

As for the feet banging i no exactly what you mean!!! ky still does it now and i swear he use to do it in my tummy!! he bends his legs and lifts them as high as possible then crashes them down as hard as he can. weird! he sleeps in his room next to ours and i can hear him when he does it in the night  In the past hes lifted them up then fallen asleep with them still curled up in the air!
