Why can't you keep the print out when you give birth?

What including the monitor print out with contractions and heartbeat?

oh no i didn't get those sorry. the ones i'm talking about are the notes with ALL the details of my labour/delivery, the exact times and length of labour, placenta delivery etc..., as well as the exact details of baby's appearance, well being etc.... are these the notes you meant/ sorry if i'm on a different page

No hun I meant all the notes really. You are lucky to have them. I had to give mine back. When I had Isaac I wanted the monitor print out but they said no I wanted to keep it as a birthing keepsake

Thanks hun. We try and be adventurous I hardly ever look at the website. My OH does it, I must have a look later because he's probably updated it without telling me We are lucky to have a really great bunch of mates who all own camper vans and we have lots planned for this year

I was never on a monitor for contractions and heartbeat and things so I guess I didn't have one of those sheets.

There's one called postpartum? Something like that. I made a copy of that and all the other notes the midwife made before I was handed over to the Health Visitors. I copied my green notes too, they're in a folder

I wished I'd photocopied all mine. I didn't know you have to hand them over when they sign you off

My midwife knew I copied my green notes, so she told me to get the others copied, and that she wouldn't take the after birth notes off me but recommended I photocopy them before the HV came to see us for the first time (HV took the notes off me)
