Me and my other half have been together for four years now, we met when I was 16 and he was 19 and for the first 3 years it was all about just me and him.

About a year ago I started to get very broody and this feeling is just getting stronger as I am getting older and I know some of you may think I am too young to have a child but I feel very ready.

However the problem is my boyfriend wants children, just not yet. I understand and respect what he wants but this feeling is just driving me crazy, any advice??

Thank you xx

No advice really! I was broody for years before we TTC our daughter - I think the only thing that helped the wait was knowing he definitely wanted it kids, and wasnt a case of if, it was when!

Also I tried setting ourselves little goals, like buy a house, have a nice holiday, decorate, new car etc to keep me occupied!

Personally I would give your oh time, it's so exciting when you decide to TTC, can't imagine what it would be like if one party wasn't fully committed!

To hurry him along, when your out shopping show him all the cute baby clothes!! X

Thanks Holi :) we are currently saving for a house, halfway there ;) I think I just have to learn how to be patient lol. I also worry, 'what if I can't have children?' the thought scares me, its strange!! xx

Oh I completely get that! I have been with my oh for 10 years, and for our first 8 childless years I was on the pill, and often forgot to take it! But never had any surprises so the thought of 'can we even get pregnant?!' crossed my mind! So much so we start TTC 8 months earlier than we originally planned just incase it took a while! It took 2/3 months! Xx

I had the same thoughts of "what if I can't get pregnant". I had nothing to worry about as i fell first month. So don't worry.
Like holi says, occupy yourself. Maybe go on holiday and enjoy the time you 2 have together. I wouldn't change my life for anything but I wish I saved more money and I wish I could have convinced my other half to go on more holidays before I had our son.

Hi! I totally understand! When I was 17 I became obsessed with the idea of having a baby. I even bought 'I'm pregnant' magazines when I was not pregnant! Over the years my need to have a baby has got stronger and stronger! But everyone would tell me I had to wait! Wait to finish my A levels, my degree, my first year in my job etc. etc. it went on. I am now 29! So it has been 12 years of waiting and thinking about it everyday!
My husband has finally now said he is ready for a baby so we are going to start trying on July 31st, so less than 2 months away!! :) :)
All I can say is, every month I've had to wait, has been a month in which one my jigsaw piece of getting my life together and ready for a baby has been put in place. With every year that goes by I actually have created a better home and life to bring a child into. I'm glad I didn't have one when I'm 17 now, because I know I am going to be a much better mother now than I would have been then, but if anyone had said this to me along the way it would have been no consolation. So I have no advice really, just sympathy! xxx

I was the same to! Luckily my husband was ready when I was.

I was the same. I was ready 5 years ago but my husband wasn't, I was the same as Holi and set little goals .. house, car etc. Then hubby proposed June 2011 and promised we could try after the wedding, we got married 7 Sep 2012 and I found I was pregnant 11th oct 2012

We now have a manic little 13 month old running round causing mayhem but I wouldn't change any of it.
In these last 12 years you have made things so perfect, now is the time to bring a baby into your life

xx

write a list together of all the things u want to do before having a baby, big things like house holidays and little things too! then when you start crossing things off it will be like getting closer to having a baby
