Im still steaming apples & pears for Isabella and then freezing it. She has bannana's. Id like to introduce other fruit what do you give your LO??

Ive tried Isabella on it but she wasnt quite sure on it, maybe I should try it again, it doesnt come to mind as a fruit to me though abit like a tomato!!!

It's nice mashed with a bit of banana.

Now she's 6 months you could try her on some berries or cherries? And have you tried dried apricots?

No havent tried dried apricots yet as in the Annabel Karmel book it said something about a preservative to be careful of and I cant remember what it is :? :?

Arianna loves dried apricots, dried mango, fresh mango, cucumber...

I also discovered on Sat night that she loves strawberries!!!
Makes a mess but she loved it!!

Mia loves strawberrys too-and they are lovely for her gums at the mo. I know melon is watery but Mia likes that too!!

The chemical some apricots is terated with is Sulphur Dioxide.

You can buy lots that aren't though, it'll say on the packaging, and they tend to be darker in colour.

Mine are Crazy Jack Organic from Tesco. :D

Thanks girls.

Do you steam the dried apricots??

No, I soak mine in hot water so they 'plump', then put them throught the mouli to get rid of any fibres :)

Hi Minxy

Do you just put them in hot water or simmer, how long for. Just got back from Sainsbury and got some Organic ones.

papya is a favourite with Finlay and Mango.

I just soak them in very hot (not boiling) water for 20 mins or so.

Haven't tried mango yet. I hate it but Stanley might like it :D

mine used to like fresh mushed up mango.

Thanks girls.

Minxy, so you put it through the mouli, do you then freeze it??? Or can you??

Haven't tried TBH  Think you can though. :D

I just soak mine like Minxy said and give it to Arianna to suck/chew on. I never blend it.

If I do blend it I usually mix it with carrots and I freeze them alright.
