where does ovulation spotting blood come??

am i stupid? i cant figure it out in my head. i always have one instance of spotting when i ovulate. its always the day off or the day after +opk and it is a few bright red streaks or dots in my ewcm (tmi sorry).

from what ive read ovulation spotting is from the egg bursting through the follicle, but as the ovary isnt attached to the fallopian tube or womb or foof how dose the blood end up coming out of the foof? wouldn't it just release into the body cavity and disappear?

i hope this rambling makes sense, its just something ive been wondering!!
