Where you all at with regards to prepairing for your new arrivals?

I have just about finished i think i have just bought the matress for the cot bed and that is me done. hopefully i can just chill out and enjoy the rest of the pregnancy without having to worry about what i still need to get. Nursery is also ready done that over 2 weeks ago now and it still stinks of paint in their so i am glad i done it mega early. We havent needed to buy many clothes as we have been given soooooooo many, way more than i think he will actually ever wear lol. where is everyone else at, i bet not many are at my stage, i just cant help myself i am a total organizer.. i think in some cases it can go as far as calling it OCD!!!!! Lol :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

I think Im pretty much sorted in terms of clothes and have all the furniture etc picked out. Id love to start my nursery now (I know what I want) but we are in process of buying a house so cant see it being painted for another few months. Im considering buying the paint that apparently has no fumes (think its dulux breathe easy or something) to paint it with so I dont have to worry about smells.

Erm Im so not organised!!

I need all the furniture, clothes and essentials!!!
We moved house a couple months ago, amd the babies room is still full off cardboard boxes!!
I really need to get into my head that I have a baby coming in a few months

You're too organised! :D

I have got a few clothes. In the process of sorting out the room, sister buying the pram, friend buying the moses basket, husband sorting out the furniture.

I don't feel like I've got loads left to do but know I need to get buying!

it was the money thing that really got me going. the thought of leaving work in 2 and a bit months time and then having no money so i got everything early and i am now putting any extra money i have into our bill account to help with the bills while i am off work.

WERE MOVING TOMORROW! so i have planned everything (the babys cot/bed, draws and change table) we need to order this week so we will be settled in when it arrives and will have plenty of time to re-arrange if i dont like how it looks hehe.
i have got --
the pushchair/travel system/carseat (http://www.sears.ca/gp/product/images/B ... =397734011)
"Christopher robin" (light green) and "strawberries and cream" (light pink) to decorate the nursery and a big pink Rug, also have six canvases for my three year old to paint for her baby sisters room!
We have butterfly sheets and bumper for the cot, matching blankets and fleecies
Lots of socks, vests and hats (also, my mum is sending me over all of my DDs newborn things this week that she was looking after for me! i wont need ANYTHING! she has sooooo many cute sleepers knitted cardies, the lot all in perfect cond, not even a mark, some not even worn!)
a few cute outfits, and three warm all-in-one coats (different thicknesses)
Nappy bag, Breast pump, Waterproof changing pads.. the list goes on but really we only need baby bath, wash, shampoo, nappies, all the little things and for the furniture to arrive as the cot matress arrived super early :)

Looking for a cute moses basket atm, and just invested in a large cage for our kitten to sleep in at nights when he is in the house, the rest of the time he is outside.

its nice to see everyone else is super organised hehe xx

We havent done anything yet - well I have a beautiful set of cuddly toys for the nursery shelf and 2 sleep suits - thats it :D

Just moved back to our cottage in Gloucestershire from France, and now DH has just been offered a fabulous job which may mean we can move again (this house is a bit small for us, and we should be able to rent it out), so not even sure where we will be living when LO arrives let alone anything else.

I have ideas of what pushchair etc I would like, but seems a bit early to start shopping yet, especially when everything is still so up in the air, plus have scan on 11th Sept so hoping to know the sex so can start some proper planning!!

Oh for some stability.........

there is nothing i can think of that i havnt got, :D

Started moving the boys into one room yesterday sothe playroom can become the nursery. So prety much the whole house is a disatster at the mo.

Have built one cabin bed, will try to get the other built tnight. Will have to sell both the single beds before we can start painting nursery then hopefullly nursery furniture will arrive next wek and we can get the house back to normal./

There is baby stuff everywhere.
My ssiter gave us loads of clothes and a bath and bouncy chair this is on top of the mountains of clothes we already have

When we moved here last year we recycled all the baby stuff as we had completed our family hmmm great plan that one :rotfl: The only thing I have still are clothes and blankets made by relatives and the moses basket as it is a family heirloom with all the bedding made by my talented mum :D I have picked out which travel system and cot etc I want but as baby is due in March I am going to wait until the jan sales to see if I can save a few pennies on the ones I want. I have been tempted to start buying clothes but have resisted so far lol

Ive not even started buying yet! i have to wait for my last amnio test to come back this week and if thats clear then i can start buying.
My MIL is taking us shopping on 20th Oct so im gonna save some £ too and will probably buy all the big stuff on that day.

Being baby number 2 there's less to prepare this time which feels really strange!

Before we did the nursery we decided to update Lucy's room to be more of a girl's room than a nursery so we've just done that (Dora duvet/curtains etc.) We've bought the nursery boarder we wanted and also got a cot mobile and light shade ready but haven't made a start yet. I've also got out all the baby clothes that Lucy had and I've sorted out the newborn stuff and washed them so I know what I 've got. Just have to wash all the bedding for the moses basket and the shawls/blankets etc. There's other little bits and bobs that I need but they're more for me for the birth.

So all in all I feel pretty ready. As in, baby could come now and I wouldn't struggle but there are lots of little "nice to haves" that I would like to get done before!

we have all their clothes now :D we have baby bath changing mat toiletries steriliser and some bottles we have 2 moses baskets and stands :D and tons of nappies :D also got 2 new jamas and nightie and new knickers for hospital bag
mother in law is buying 1 cotbed and brother in law is buying the double buggy my friend is buying the 2 bouncy chairs :D we have chosen all those :D
still need to buy 6 more bottles a cot divider some bedding for moses baskets and cotbed some extra bibs and at some point another cotbed so we are quite organised xxxxxx

I've bought a pram plus accessories and a car seat. A few bits of clothes and thats about it.

I still need to buy cotbed, moses basket, nappies (seriously looking into cloth nappies), bedding, bottles, sterilisor, changing mat etc etc so got loads to buy yet. :)

You all sound organised. I've not brought much at all, apart from a new buggy, which I'm using already for my daughter. I'm not going to bother buying any clothes as we still have our DD (I kept the neutral stuff).

One thing that I wish I'd brought last time but didn't was a bumbo.

I'm only organised becuase I didn't throw anything out from last time! I've got loads of stuff that I didn't use and could do with getting rid of but there's a little voice in my head (I'm not crazy honest!) saying that this is a different baby and I might use it this time?

I figure I've kept it all this long so there's no harm in keeping it a little longer!

I love those things! Can't wait to get one, they're so cute!

We have nothing so far! :D

We have decided which room to make the nursery, although we have changed our minds about 3 times! It does involve moving our study room, but hey :)

I think we are a little apprehensive about buying things at the moment since this is our first, but we have been looking at buggies and cots etc :)

I think we have found a cot we like though :cheer: :cheer:

Yeh, we were the same. I didn't want to buy anything till after the 20 week scan. But people are buying us most of the bigger stuff so I just need to tell them when to buy it. Need to decorate though!!

I resisted until last week! I only bought a few clothes and a few bits and bobs just to keep me going! Ill buy most of it in a couple of months but I had to buy something!! lol
