It may be annoying for some people on here yes .. but then u dont really know what its like to suffer from panic attacks once i get a panic attack thats it , it stops me from stepping outside my house ive only just started going out a month ago it took me 7 months to over come a panic attack in tescos super market. xx

I'll also add that I am scared stiff of hospitals but when you're going for a scan it totally disappears. All you're interested in is seing your baby. Not where you are.

I thought u went shopping and clubbing regularly?

the NHS will not send patients to a private clinic for free. Can you imagine the uproar!?!

The only reason they will send you to a private hospital is when they have specialist treatment facilities.

Private abortion clinics are not usually the same as private hospitals.

That is a shame, but you still wont get a private scan via the NHS

I had private scans when the NHS found out i'd had them they wanted to take my 20week NHS scan away
i was like errr nah mate hahaha
:(

My scan next week is at our local clinic, but then I live in a very small town 17 miles from the city. My 20 week scan will be in Aberdeen Hospital

I had to have my scan in hospital but it didn't even feel like I was in a hospital as it had it's own reception etc it was jut like a clinic.

I do go clubbing and shopping like i said i only recoverd a month ago!
its not nice being stuck in doors for 7 months i have to be going out for babies sake.

I will get scan just rang up doctors and receptionist said that only people with problems , medical issues can have private scans .. which in my case its all on my records that i suffer from panic attacks.. i told her that she said ill get on free private. xx

That's good then, as long as you get your scan.

I used to get panic attacks when I was younger... I'll mention it when I next speak to my midwife I think - oh and my miraculous change in ago of course!! :rotfl:

I'm not working, but because my husband earns a good wage we're not entitled to jack schitt.

You're not alone there, however we both work, have to pay £550 childcare a month and can't even get tax credit! We don't even pull in that much together...

With James I had my 12 week scan in Spain at a private hospital because I was getting bad stomach cramps (Paid for by my holiday insurance luckily!). When I got home I didn't get a 12 week scan, I had to wait till 20 weeks, the NHS will do anything to save money

I never got them free and I have a complete fear of hospitals ever since my mum died.... but I was told to get over it for the sake of the baby... which I did!

I used to get a lot of ear infections....

I'm going to make them feel dead sorry for me and send me private!

Portland Hospital here I come!!!
