How many sizes do your boobs go up?
I know everyone is different but I wondered what has been peoples experience.

Should I buy maybe one nursing bra before I give birth or wait? Bearing in mind it will be christmas season and bloody cold.

the standard advice is to go up a cup size in readiness - i bought a twin pack 1 cup size bigger, then went and got measured properly a few weeks later once i'd stopped gushing milk all over the place

I just went for a bra fitting about this - they advised that my cup size will go up, but my back size should go down as there's nothing pushing the ribs out anymore. Anyway, they suggested getting just one to start with - but I got a two pack. The only thing was I went to John lewis and Marks' and got measured very different sizes
So, I would suggest popping along to the nearest place, get measured and get one/two for now. I'm going to get measured again after the baby's here. Fwiw the MW said to wait at least a week as in the first few days your boobies can engorge but then they'll go down again.
Hmm...something tells me I may be spending a lot of money on bras over the next few months........

I would recommend getting measured and buy at least one nursing bra in advance. From 37 weeks onwards.
I went to M&S and they were fab, she measured me and roughly guessed what i would be. They also said that if they were really out on the measurments that i could return it and get another size.

I did find when my milk came in initially it was a little tight in there but my boobs were like rocks, once it had settled after a few days the bra fitted nicely

Well its recommend you are fitted and wear a bfing bra (or support bra) before you baby is here (around 36 weeks if I remember ) due to the possibilty of blocked ducts.

And then get refitted around a week before expected due date, or is that two weeks

But yes very important you have one really, and get fitted as soon as you can hun.

Same here. Never went up a size but have big boobs anyway so not sure if that made a difference

i went up 2sizes, started wearin bfing bras at about 30weeks jus cos it was more comfortable!!

get fitted asap hun then u can buy more if u need them before LO comes

I went up lots in pregnancy and have since goen down a back size and up another cup size, when i first had boobs didnt grow immediately, in fact i didnt even wear a BFing bra the first night in hossi. it was on the third day when my milk came in that no bra's fitted me anymore

I bought breastfeeding tops for a while. Then when i settled down, i measured myself. Most shops i wear 2 sizes bigger, but some are 3 sizes. In total i have gone up 3-4 sizes.
