UPDATE

he changed his mind. After I made this post, that night he woke up twice for the 2 feeds he'd dropped and has done ever since :rotfl: I am seriously tired now, Ive had about 8 hours sleep in 4days :wall: :wall:

Well I should be happy, James has all of a sudden dropped off 2 feeds and now sleeps from about 9pm until 5am. The only thing is where Im so used to having broken sleep he sleeps more than me and I cant sleep through when he does. I still wake every few hours :wall: :wall: :wall: did anyone else find this happened to them? Hopefully Il gradually adjust and be able to sleep like him, god knows I need it as Im shattered

I constantly have to check to see if she's still breathing! So i never sleep through like she does.

Yeah, when Oliver does sleep through I still find myself waking up at the times he usually has his feeds! Hopefully your body will just adjust - I also seem to wake up a few minutes before him too during the night which I find a bit strange, I'll wake up and a minute later he'll start crying (from the other room so it's not like I'm making noise and waking him up).

Wooo great he is sleeping through so well for you hun :) :cheer:

And yup, just takes a while for your body to learn to relax and sleep on. Galen sleeps from 8-9pm till 5-6am so long as I give him a dreamfeed around 11pm. Without it he will wake at least twice between midnight and 5am before waking around 7.30 and staying awake.

I still wake up regardless around his old feed times but am much more relaxed, have a peek at him next to me and then go back to sleep. It doesn't really feel like unbroken sleep anymore and I usually feel ok in the morning so long as he sleeps through.

Thats great Sar!!!
Ted DID sleep through from 8pm till 5/6..sometimes 7am! But suddenly he's back waking about 2/3am and again at 6am, did chat to a few mums on here who said they have 4 month growth spurt which is pretty horrific! Coupled with his teething, i think i'm going to have a few more weeks of unsettled sleep, just hoping when i start weaning him, which i'll probably do when he's about 5 months (as he's so ready for it!) he may sleep again??

I woke to start with, but now dont! It only took maybe a week for me to sleep through again. Now Emms sleeps from about 11 - 8.30. I wake up at 7 as the bloomin dog barks!!

Oh my god I'm so jealous. Connie still has a 6oz 2am feed :wall:

She does go off without fail by 7.30pm though and I don't dreamfeed her so I guess I can't moan - AND she sleeps til 8am in the morning. Suits me better than 11pm to 5am the truth be told.

   hugs to the mummies who babies are being wakey wakes at night still! If I put James in his cot its a whole new story but if he is in bed with me he sleeps really well now. Its only been this past week he all of a sudden decided he no longer required the late feeds. Role on being able to sleep! xx

I think all these "my baby sleeps (through)" people lie.

took me ages to adjust , and becuase for over a year id been peeing in the night ( pregnancy then id pee when i got up to do him) and i use to wake up needing the loo

Its great when it finally happens isnt it. I sleep through now as well but I was like you to begin with. Chester started by sleeping 10pm til 5pm then gradually his night sleep got longer and longer, now sleeps from 8pm-8am then needs another hour nap at 9.30am!

Luke's awake all night. Pity me, please. :rotfl:

I was totally shocked I have to say and wasnt expecting it. It did coincide with putting Emms in her own room -after 2 weeks, she just slept through for about 9 hrs with no feeding in the middle and she's exclusively BF atm. Before that she was waking once or twice a night.

Having said that, she might change again . . . . . .

I obviously havnt adjusted to the broken sleep properly yet cos i'll sleep whatever hours she'll allow me to. I cant really complain, she has one night feed and it ranges from 4:30-about 6:30 (thought it's been later) and she always goes back to sleep after, the later the night feed the longer my lie in is

I've noticed tho that she wont go back in to her moses after a night feed though, as soon as i try and move her she wakes :? it's fine when its just me and her but Dave is currently sleeping squished against the wall so we have enough space!

 he may be feeling stressed because you are- i know evie seems aggy when i am.

perhaps he's just having a growth spurt- evie's been having one where she feeds every 2 hours :talkhand: but now she is back to every 5 hours again....

Babies... creatures of mystery.... :wall:
