Sorry if this has been covered somewhere else but i cannot find it.

I know it depends on your baby but Harry sleeps for 4 hours then wakes ever 2 hours in the night. I was wondering when does it get better? and at waht age should i expect him to sleep through the night?

I'm not sure how true this is, but I've been told babies sleep better once they reach about 10lbs. Certainly Maia is capable of sleeping a 5 and a half hour stretch if she wants to!

I have heard it is around 6 to 8 weeks but dont put all your hopes on that because my friends 1 year old still wakes up every few hours in the night, so i guess its down to your baby.

Nathan started sleeping about 6 hours in one go at about 8 weeks, 10-4 the 4.30-8 then he started sleeping through at 16 weeks, I mean about 10pm till 8am. Now hes going 8-8 at 21 weeks (fingers crossed)

I can't remember Jakes sleeping times but I know his sleeping started improving at about 8 weeks old. Jake first slept through the night at about 4 months old and he has been sleeping through 7pm-7am since he was about 5 months old.

Fin wakes every 2 hours or so still, at 5 1/2 months. All babies are different and the pattern can change at any time depending on the developmental stage. If Fin is having a growth spurt he will wake much more. I know....I'm shattered!

Looking back to Erin's sleep diary that I kept, she started learning night from day from 3 weeks 2 days (longer naps at night). From 5 weeks she slept from 9pm to 3:30am, from 6 weeks 9 - 6:30am and from 8 weeks 8pm to 9:30am.

We then settled on a sleep routine of 7:00 - 8:30 from approx 10 weeks old.
