when to use an ov test?

hi girls, my cycles have gone a bit mad but we now have a month to get pg naturally before we go to the clinic,if we can avoid all that then i would be very chuffed. What im asking is, my 2nd to last cycle was 25 days, the last one was a totally mental 42 days so when on earth would you start to test for ov? ive bought 30 little cheapo ones ( ce marked) from ebay and thought id give it a shot, only a few squid to loose, ( they cost about a fiver, if that) i was thinking of starting on cd 13 and just carry on from there, thats next weds. does that sound fairly sane? 8) thanks!!xx

good luck for this month, if you were to have a shorter cycle and start testing in cd13 you may miss it, as you have enough i would personally try cd10 but i am new to this so its up to you

my last cycle was 37days, cycle before that was 31!

i ordered some cheap OPK from ebay last night and i'm currently on CD10 today, so unless FF tells me i've OVed before hand then i'm going to keep testing until i get a positive.

i was hoping to order them earlier and start testing around CD10 just incase, 31days has been my shortest ever cycle though so hopefully by CD16, i'll have my OPK and will be all set.

if i were you i'd start on CD10 and go from there.
that's why i decided on cheapies from ebay, because i could Ov from CD16 upto CD22.. starting to test early just incase from say CD12, upto CD22 plus would have me using 10 ovulation tests, which in the shops would cost me around £30, whereas ebay i got 20 for £4.
