When to take ovulation test when not sure about ovulation....

I have 28-31 days and its hard for me to know exactly when I should do an ovulation test it varies from month to month when I get my period.

My man just bought a ovulation test kit, and I wonder how it works exactly. Would I take 7 a month, from that day I suspect I am most fertile example 12-14 days from period?

I would start on day ten till u get a positive just in case, and also maybe do your temps too so u can compare after if and when you ovulated. All the best chic
