Thanks for replies! I am a travel agent and have my own shop in town. I dont have any staff so its just me so I'm just plodding on. I can do what I do from home exactly the same as I do from here so I'm thinking of starting to work from home on 1st August but have people see me by appointment. I plan to be out of office for just 2, maybe 3 months and then I will have to get back at the helm. Main reason is I only get £125 per week MA and only allowed to "tap" into my business for 10 days during entire maternity leave or money stops!! Once baby is born I plan to walk the 2 miles to work with baby in pram every day (and 2 miles back) for exercise, fresh air, escapism and to update my brochures and window offers. The good news for me is that when I found out I was pregnant, I contacted a local estate agent who was looking for office space so we now share our shop. This means that although I'm not physically here, my doors are open, people can help themselves to brochures and Catherine can give them my business card to make an appointment to see me or email me/call with their travel enquiry. Does this sound like a good plan?
My SPD really painful so at moment when I sit down for any length of time, when I stand up its pure agony! My job literally involves sitting on my ass the entire day so although its not a physical job, its a painful one! At least if I was at home I could get up, do something, walk, lie down etc to ease my discomfort. It may evben give me some time to maybe paint my kids room and pack my hospital bag! Sooooo disorganised - just over 5 weeks to go though!!
