Hi Girls,

I had my little boy a month ago and just want to know when my body will shrink back to normal......I have a stone to lose to get back to my usual weight...but my stomach, thighs and back are pretty wobbly and still "fatty". Could I still have fluid hanging around?

Want to hit the gym tomorrow (taking it easy though to start).....do you think this will shift the extra weight?

It will vary from person to person. I was house bound for 4 months, put on well in excess of 3 stone and still have still 2 stone to lose (DD is 8 months). Some people I chat to with teenage children say they never lost that last stone, some people were prepregnancy size again within a few months.

To be honest (and I don't know medically so if someone more knowledgeable says otherwise trust them not me) I don't think it's fluid hanging around. Your body stores up fat for breastfeeding and for most people you do less exercise during third tri than you would usually but without reducing your intake of calories.

I would check with a health professional before going to the gym.
