When do you ovulate?

I know this is probably a dumb question and I've been doing a little googling but still am not to clear?
My cycle is generally 28 days. So am I right in thinking you ovulate around 14 days after your period started?
Do you class the beginning or end of your period as your first day in your cycle?
I got pregnant last time by chance, now that we are actively trying I am confused at it all haha!
Very excited to be trying though 😁

I count the first day of my period as day 1, and you ovulate approx 14 days before the next period. So if your cycles are 28 days you would most likely ovulate on day 14, but if your cycles are 30 days long it'd be day 16.

All that said, I normally have cycles around 30 days and sometimes longer but I got pregnant when I only DTD once on CD11 so I think there's a window lol.

If you're really trying I'd BD as often as possible throughout the month lol.

Sorry for the late reply! I've downloaded an app to track my cycles so that should make this all a bit easier! Now I've decided to start trying again it's all I can think about haha! X
