Brody loves holding his but hasn't quite got the hang of it. Likes swinging it about more lol. It does go in his mouth sometimes. I stopped trying for a while but want to start properly. X

I give him one, but quite sparingly, as I'm afraid it might fill him up too much and he might not want milk. He loves it though and throws a little tantrum when I take it away.

I have one full of water mixed with a little bit of juice all day and give it to her whenever she wants. Started at 5.5 months. She doesn't take a bottle, so I am just trying to get her used to it, and hopefully at some point she will take milk in it. She only takes 20ml per day so far, so not much!

Thanks ladies xxx

Alyssa will drink from hers quite happily and loves swinging it about too lol

Phoebe had hers from just under 5 months, she only has water. I'm shocked though she took to it pretty much instantly! She's always loved her water, can't get enough of it x

I just started last week with a beaker so 19 weeks. She takes it to her mouth but won't drink the water in it. She spits it out and pulls a funny face.

I've even tried a tiny bit of juice but she doesn't like that either. It seems she prefers boobie milk only.

we started this week and he is same as tor, spits the water out and makes a funny face, will keep trying.

I first tried at 17 weeks- he held it n put it in his mouth but the water just came straight out of his mouth. I tried it again quite a few times n the same thing happened. So I tried again this week (20 weeks) n he cries at it as he wants to drink it but don't think he's quite worked out how lol

Gonna keep trying :) xx

I've been using a doidy cup when I'm at home and a non valve beaker for out and about since he was 5 months old. I'm doing BLW so I let him try and control it himself. He can now handle the beaker on his own. He's pretty good with the doidy cup too but I help him control it otherwise we all end up having a shower. Luckily he loves water so it's easy giving him a drink.

Using Tapatalk can't see no tickers grrrrr.

I've offered one to Noah quite a few times, but he just coughs and chokes on it. He's 6 months old now and only has Number 1 teats for juice and water and 2 teats for his milk (3's would make him choke). I don't know what to do :/

Lewis has one with his meal. If he's naked, which is quite often he'll have a TT free flowing one. If he has clothes on we use a tesco non-drip one. Both were less than £2. He can drink with them if they're quite full up otherwise he ends up just sucking on air. If we're eating out he can drink through a straw he's quite talented.

Jack has used Nuby beakers since he was 12 weeks old! He has always prefered drinking from a beaker than a bottle. He only drinks 10oz of milk throughout the day if we're lucky, but will happily drink 30+ oz of juice!! I'm waiting for his formula milk to run out (he has cows milk in a beaker in the afternoon and formula in a bottle at bedtime) then he's going onto cows milk only and in a beaker x

We tried Sophie with her tommee tippee cup at around 4 months and its taken till now for her to get the hang of it and actually drink out of it!
