When did you stop driving?

I had to stop driving when I could no longer get my shoes on due to water retention at 36 weeks. Really wasn't safe in my husbands flip flops :rotfl: . I decided I didn't feel safe so wasn't worth the risk to myself, baby or other road users. It's up to the individual.

i didn't stop driving...i was out in the car the day before i went into labour. i didn't really suffer with many aches etc tho.
:D

I drove till I popped as well. I wasnt uncomfortable and the only thing that bothered me was it was a bit hard to lean forward to see what was coming when pulling out of a junction.

I even drove to and from the reflexology session that started my labour off and I was 40+3, the pains started when I was on my way home in the car.

Drove 'til the day I went into labour, and when I'd just started having teeny tiny contractions (we were in Sainsbury's, so I didn't have much choice!)

I only drove to the local shopping centre (about 5 mins away) in the last 3 weeks because I couldn't sit in the car for very long. I used to be in a lot of pain as a driver or passenger.

Thanks girlies!

You're right, I decided thats it im getting out today, went and got my eyebrows waxed car washed.

No my bump dosnt touch the steering wheel unless i out the seat really forward also realised I AM more careful, i was looking in my mirror and was more aware of my speed...

Just wondering but say if im out and on my own driving and my waters break? what then (highly unlikely but just wondering)

 Thanks all

I'm now sitting on a towel when I drive so I don't get amniotic juice all over my nice new car

If your waters go, I would just drive home. Chances are contractions won't start at exactly the same time as your waters break. Even if they do, they are likely to start uncomfortable and progress to toe curlingly painful over a period of hours :D

i stopped driving when i finished work, at 33 weeks. i may have driven once or twice for short journeys to pick up a drunk boyf or summink, but mostly i sat on my big fat pregnant ass in the passenger seat! lol

I know its good to stay cooped up but i've not been out for 4 days, im quite norty i normally drive the majority of places i go...

Was jut wondering though when SHOULD i stop driving, I didnt drive this week because I have had alot of aches pains and twinges etc and i guess part of me doesn't feel confident... Im also a newish driver, only been driving just over a year so i guess i don't want to make any mistakes (All the mistakes i have made have been since preggo...)

I'll be 37wks on Saturday... Would love your take on this...
i went 8 - 10 days over with all mine and never stopped driving.

I drove on the same day I went into labour but OH drove to the hozzie. I didnt drive for 2 weeks after though

I do find Im much more aware of mine and other peoples driving and I get really peed off now at bad drivers! I get road rage now where as before Pip I would just be like "oooo silly prick" now I get really abusive!

Go, I'm gonna be a nightmare then! I have terrible impatience and road rage as it is! The OH (non-driver) said he hopes i dont shout at other drivers the way I do now when the bubba arrives

I was being induced at 38+6 and my mum was coming to pick me up to take me at 7am so at 6 am i drove to mcdonalds to get a sausage mcmuffin and to the petrol station to get some magazines lol
