Im consciuosly(sp) no using bumps name just now as im afraid she wont look like it when she is born, ive no back up names btw.

So do/did you call your bump its name and will that name definatley be what LO is born?

The bumpster gets called Pip, I think we will still Nickname her Pip when she arrives but will really have to get out of the habbit. My OH sometimes calls her by the name we chose but I don't ever really think to, at the moment I see the bump as Pip but then when the bump is a little person I think I will naturally start using her proper name.

We did as due date was getting very close, but only in the privacy of our own home as we didn't tell anyone the chosen name.

with the boys never until they were born. they were just 'baby'

with this one, we have done on the odd occassion!

We still called Lola "baby" for a while after she was born even though we had already picked her name before she was born. It just took a bit of getting used to for us :)

Neil has called bump Snoopy from pretty much the day we found out (I tend to call it baby!) We have decided not to decide firmly on any names until baby is here and we can see what they look like (especially as baby is shy and we couldn't find out the sex!)

We never used LO's name till after he was born, even though we had settled on a name before our 20 week scan. Both flat out refused to use it as we both found it somewhat weird to do so. Always that niggle that he might not look like his name

When he was born we just knew the name we had chosen worked and went with it :)

we were the same, it just felt weird! also i kept thinking what if i end up having a boy and i've been calling him a girls name for months!!!

are we the only one's calling my bump by her name?

we have called bump Ruby for a couple of months now, since we found out she was a girl and had the name chosen! :D

Horatio has been called Horatio for about 2 months now. It's very unlikely that he or she will be called Horatio after the birth, as we've chosen some other proper names, but I guess it'll probably stick as a nick name.
I find it easier to call the bump by a name, gives him or her already kind of a personality.

from about 7 months meghan was gonna be called '' Grace '' ...... when she was born, dp didnt like the name so we chose meghan instead.

Widowwadman- theres me thinking that horatio is such a nice name and you arent naming bump it!! :rotfl:

We found out the sex of both our ours and had names ready but didnt call either bump by thier names, we didnt feel comfortable with it and it seemed like tempting fate. As soon as we saw the babies the names seemed to work though. They were always just bump or baby until they were born.

We never did. Mainly because we couldn't make a final descion on a name up until the last few weeks.
We always said 'the baby' or bump.

trog was trog from our scan at 13 weeks right up until he was 2 days old in the real world! he didn't look like our chosen name (which we'd kept secret) when he was born, so it took us a couple of days to decide on connor :D :D

My older 2 were both surprises and were just 'baby'.

We did find out my youngest was a girl but couldn't decide on a name till very late and then it felt weird calling her it. However, my middle daughter, Molly, nicknamed her 'baby bird' from quite early on so that's what everyone referred to her as. She still occasionally gets called it and she'll be 1 on Friday!

This time round I asked Molly what the baby should be called and she has suggested 'Space Marsian Robot Girl'. Not quite so catchy and a little inappropriate if we are team blue! At the moment we just talk about the new LO as 'bubba' or 'baby'.
