When did you put your baby in an upright pushchair?

I know Poppy is only 5 weeks but she is so, so, SO long she has almost outgrown both her moses basket and the pram/carrycot attachment on our travel system! I honestly don't think she's going to last much longer in either of them.
We've got a quinny buzz and the actual pushchair bit can be tilted right back, for example:

So I'm wondering when the time comes if she'll be ok in that?
When did you put your LO's into their pushchair? I'm giving Poppy another 2 months maximum before she's too big for the pram!

Here is Poppy now in her moses basket, do you see what I mean?!

She is long! Oscar is long too, his dads 6'4" so think he's gonna be a tally too!

I didn't put Oscar in upright until he was 5 months. I've got the Buzz too, but only the pushchair. I had the Trenton deluxe before that and he outgrew the car seat mode around 4 months, but I pushed him to 5 months before I got the buzz. Just didn't want hm facing outwards in the trenton.

I would wait as long as possible, purely because of back support. She would be ok I think with the seat tilted right back like that, but she won't really be able to see much as she gets a bit older. So at first, while she's so young still won't be a problem but around 2.5-3 months when she starts taking more interest while out she might get a bit fed up and grizzly, but then again she might just sleep lol Hard to say I guess until you try it! But sitting the seat right up probably wouldn't be too good for her back so young.

Do you have the car seat to attach? Is she comfy in that?

We do have the carseat, but apparently they're not supposed to stay in the carseat for long periods of time because it's not good for their spine? I will leave it until she literally cannot fit into the pram anymore before I swap her over. Her Daddy is 6'4 also, she's defintely taken after him! x

I used car seat mode with Oscar from 2 weeks until 5 months because laying flat in the pram mode he used to be so sick and struggling with choking on saliva so we swapped to car seat mode and didn't go back. He was fine. Mind the longest he was in there for was probably about an hour at a time, or just over, and tbh that's probably about the same as what could be an average car journey.

His back has been fine and had no problems, but obviously you have to do what feels right with your LO. I think laying flat in the buzz in buggy mode would be absolutely fine, Oz sleeps in that mode when we're out now and his back is completely flat and supported, it just might get a bit frustrating for her when she wants to start looking around.

xxxxxxx

Ifan has also been in the car seat attachment a lot but has just outgrown that and his pram and hes 14-15 weeks now, i was going to ask the same question because he seems young for a pushchair but i think ill have to put him in it from now on! x

Owen has been in a pushchair since birth. It does lie flat but he has always prefered being able to see a bit more. I just pop it down flat again when he falls asleep

Flynn is the same! but luckily our pram is really long!

for the car seat i'm sure i read somewhere that the maximum time they could be in one was 4hours, not sure where i read it though!

Alex has been in the pushchair since birth, its lies completely flat and is padded so much comfier than the carseat.

I put M in the upright quite early as she hated being flat x

I saw someone using the buzz buggy tilted back as a pram on Saturday and baby looked fine and cosy xx
