When did you let yourself start thinking about names?

DH and I have tentatively discussed names but we don't want to get too attached to any or say them out loudly until after the 12 week scan. For some reason the whole thing just won't seem like it is definitely happening until after we see what looks like a 'proper' baby on the scan.

Do other people feel like that?

I do feel the same regarding it not feeling real until scan and trying not to get too attached (impossible!) but we throw names around left right and centre! It's more fun than seriousness at mo!

i started my list at about 9weeks or maybe earlier lol im still adding names to the list now lol x

The last few weeks and most times we got to delivery without a name then

we do talk about baby names abit but i do have other cazy little things i do like i wont post what names i like on here till the scan, or i dont look in the second trimester posts on here till im in my 2nd tri wired i know lolalso i have a baby book wk by wk and i only read upto what week i am think im cracking up lol

About a week after I find out! We had it all sorted very early on. :)

We've only just started talking names with any seriousness in the last couple of weeks, even after the scan it hasn't really felt completely real until I started to show

i picked my names a week after a found out hahah!!!

It was just a case of finding the sex out, then we knew the name for def :)

xx

iv been thinking about them frm begining but untill i have 20wk scan i wont get my serious thinking cap on lol its hard because i dont want to give a name incase it all goes tits up

We've had a boy's and a girl's name decided since before we were married! We like to plan ahead :)
Now we just need that BFP....

I'm with you Bead! We've been talking about names for a few years, long before we started ttc. Every couple's different

We have only just seriously started thinking about names, although we knew middle names early on. We don't like to rush things but when i had my last babe we only had a boys name as convinced it was a boy, it took us 10 days to name her! So trying to be more prepared this time round lol
