just as it reads ladies, i forgot to ask at the hospital. i had a hysteroscopy and a d&c. i dont want to do anything that might lead to an infection. thanks xxx

Both procedures are via your cervix which should close up again right away.

In fact some people would argue they are more fertile as the cervix is temporarily very slightly stretched allowing more sperm in to fertilise.

I might be more cautious that you have both recently washed before having sex (especially your fella making sure his willy is squeaky clean) but I wouldn't avoid it. Your infection risk won't be raised in the same way as if you had an open wound xx
