At the moment Chloe is bathed every day as part of her bedtime routine but I was wondering when I would be able to take her into the shower?

I've already taken Molly in the shower. Don't think that there are any guidelines about showers, just whether the baby likes them or not I suppose. :)

Thank you think I will try her tonight, she loves to splash in the bath so hoping it will be another sucess.

My girl loves a shower and pushes her head under the water its a really nice thing to do together, Enjoy

I prefer showers and LO doesn't mind them :)

Just mind her face as some babies don't like getting splashed and make sure its not any hotter than you'd have the bath water for her.

Also handy then if chesty or some such as you can stand in the shower with them and it often is more soothing than just sitting in a steamy bathroom.

Arianna has been having showers for as long as I can remember! She loves them.

Id love to have a shower with Hay but our shower is too hot and we can't mke it colder (don't ask!)

Corey likes the shower! :)

But it takes two of us, as I think he gets so slippy, that I like to be there too to catch... which means the shower door is open, so it gets a bit of a draft, so we dont shower him to offten!!

I'd say start with showers as early as you can! I wish we had because we go camping alot and Isaac doesn't like showers and they very rarely have a bath for him :)

Happy to report we tried the shower last night and she seemed to enjoy it. Also it seemed to help with her cold as she didn't cough as bad last night.

Thats good! They are so much more open to new things when they are little :)

I agree with Lou. Stanley hates showers and I wish I'd done it when he was tiny! Sounds like it went well.

I dont think i will be giving ryan a shower as i have a power shower and its literally so hard it feels like hundreds of small darts are being thrown at you.. :?

Can't you turn the shower head so its on a softer setting? :)

Yeh, I don't think I'd want to do it on my own. I've taken Molly in the shower when I was having a shower so my OH took her, dried her and got her dressed while I carried on with my shower. If your showers in the bath, getting out with a slippy wet baby could be a bit dangerous, lol.

My sister suggested starting the showers now cos her daughter hates them and she's 3 so I wanted to make sure Molly is OK with it cos baths are such a hassle!

Dylan has been having showers since he could sit up. I got a dolphin bath mat to use so that there's no sliding about x

Finlay has a shower at swimming and loves it :D

I personally wouldn't go out of my way to avoid getting your LOs face wet. Try it and see how they react - makes the swimming teacher's life easier if they are used to getting their face wet when it comes to teaching them to swim :D
