When are you painting the Nursery?

Just wondered what's the norm/how long before their due date everyone's decorating? I'm getting so excited but holding off until probably August time (if I can wait that long). Bit of an organizing freak though and I hate things done last minute! Have made a start clearing the spare room so we can put our growing collection of baby bits in there!

We're going to start decorating ours within the next couple of weeks, I can't wait! I just want to have everything all done and organised and once this is out of the way I'll feel much better
I couldn't decide for ages how to decorate as its a small room, but once it's all done I'll post pics on here to show it off I'm sure x

We've done ours (well, painted it, nothing else as of yet) and I'm now 25 weeks. My hubby is a typical Tauraus and everything has to be done yesterday, as soon as he has an idea we're doing it! We've gone for a bright yellow and have just got to decide on furnishings now!

I have to wait till babys nursery is build yet but as soon as it is ill be docorating, pink, pink and more pink. My little man is getting his room decorated when we docorate babys too so he doesnt feel left out, he having a liverpool room.

We just finished decorating ours yesterday! Last thing to do was have the carpet fitted which happened yesterday morning! My OH put baby's wardrobe and cotbed together last night and all we need to do today is move his changing unit that has been sitting in the kitchen for weeks and sort all of his bits and bobs out and we're done! Oh we do still need to put his border up and curtains when they get delivered which at this rate will be once baby's here! x

think next weeks task!! bambino better not come early!!

nemlin - my dad is a taurus so I know how you feel! He recently put a pond in his back garden and got up at 5am each morning to work on it!
M2A that's a lovely idea decorating Adam's room too so he doesn't feel left out. I expect he'll feel very grown up with a baby sister on the way! Clairebear/Belfast Girl - not long to go till your due dates - how exciting! Good luck girls x x

i started to clear the clutter out of the attic today, (baby is not going in there though!!)
then i am moving my down stairs office to the attic, and the guest bedroom downstairs, then the nursery upstairs!! ...phew!! it makes sense to me!!!!
will prob not get around to decorating though until the summer hols when we know what we are having..
my dad is a fabulous carpenter, so he is making a crib, wardrobe, changing table etc... which is fabulous!!

i cant wait until i am at the stage where i can be putting all the bits and bobs in place!!!

We have just finished painting.. So just need to put the blind up and then we can start moving all the bits in!! Would rather have it all done so I can relax and enjoy the summer before little man arrives xx

I have bunk beds in the spare room which is going to become a nursery so I need to get them taken apart first before I can paint anything. Think this will happen around August as we are picking up the cot and changing mat/chest of drawers at the end of August. Have already started to move things into the garage in an attempt to make space for the hordes of baby stuff!

I plan on gettting stuck into it next week , i've been really lazy about it because Aoibheann sleeps in there already so I didnt want to disrupt her too much .

happy to report that oh painted nursery at weekend so progress!!!

just need to assemble the furniture now, that will probably take us a good few weeks!!!

I'm on countdown Bella! 26 days until we buy the cot, changing table & new drawers from Ikea! Am so excited to get it all ready and I CAN'T WAIT to dress the cot! x

We need to declutter the whole house, so we're going to start doing that over the next few weekends, whenever we're free, then hopefully over the summer we'll decorate the nursery. I'm going to do that while OH is digging up the garden and relaying the lawn! So I need to do that before I get too big!
