When are you finishing work?

I know it's all down to personal choice / circumstance but thought I'd ask - how soon are people finishing for Mat Leave? I have 3 weeks leave so was going for 3 weeks before - last time I had nearly 6 weeks and loved it wondering if I should finish earlier...? xx

I am going at 35 weeks, I have so much annual leave to take and want a little rest before baby comes along, also have a lot of sorting at my house to do. I feel so unprepared :s My maternity starts on 16th December, baby due 26th. x

I finish on 20/11 and baby's official due date is 16/12 but my due date could be 31/11. I wish I was finished now if I'm honest. I have been off this week on hols and wish I didn't have to go back. Xx

Im convinced I'll go late. So didn't wanna waste my maternity leave sitting around waiting forever

Im finishing at 32+5 as i just dont have the energy this time round but having a week's parental leave then a week's annual leave so mat leave will start when im 35weeks....i had my daughter at 37+6 so hoping ive had a gd rest if this little one comes at same stage xx

Thanks ladies. Lots of you finishing at 37 weeks I see. I should get a date for my section next week so guess I'll have to decide then for definite. 11th Nov is current finish date working off a due date of 4th Dec, although section will never be at 40 weeks. xx

I'm finishing at 37+2 on 30th Oct so 3 weeks left for me.
I work on a zero hours contract (tho i always work around 30hrs a week) so dont get leave or smp so need the extra money.
Think if i was in a different job and did have leave i would probably finish around 35-36 wks as i am knackered now lol! X

My last day I'll be 36 +4. I had 1 weeks holiday to take so my maternity leave doesn't actually begin until the start of November and I'm due on 16th November. Xx

I'll finish at 36 1/2 weeks this time. It was 37 weeks last time but thought I'd go crazy this time and give myself an extra few days!! lol. In fairness I'm a teacher so will have the two weeks off over Xmas and then just go back for one week so not too strenuous in that final month.

I finished at about 32 weeks! This pregnancy has been tough and I wanted some extra time with my toddler before baby arrived. I'm not going back after this leave though, so it didn't matter from the other side if that makes sense. By leaving early, I wasn't cutting short my time with the baby

I finished at 37 with my first pregnancy and it was way too early! I have an office job anyway but with him being nearly 2 weeks late I had 5 weeks of twiddling my thumbs!! What I did do, and will do again, is took every Wednesday off as holiday in the lead up so I had a midweek break every week!! X

That's a really good idea. I count do that as I'm a teacher but I'd live to. The weeks are looooong.
