When are we most likely to go overdue?

I have had a very lazy pregnancy... it hurts to walk now anyways but if you are less active are you more likely to go overdue?
Does anyone know when and how you are most likely to go overdue? Have googled but found nothing. xxx

i think u will go when ur baby and body ready i dnt think any of these things work that ppl say and i think u will go overdue if u are going to.. lol so sorry no answer.. Every1 keeps saying to me u will go early and i wonder how wld they know lol

ive heard so many different things like " u always go late with 1st" but know ppl who have went early so thats not true.

"u will go early with 2nd" loads dont my mum never my friends never so not true

the latest was if u went late with ur first child u will go late with ur second aswell

so who really knows xx

everyone keeps telling me that cause i have a large bump she's definitely going to come early... but the sonographer at my last scan said she's unlikely to come early lol... to be honest from what i've heard it is as lou said... you go into labour when your body and baby are ready to xx

Im 10 days over and was told I was 4cm on friday by midwife when I had sweep and that I was luckt that I havent had any pain but I am walking everyday and trying anything to get things moving so I dont think theres much truth in it-baby will come when they are ready! Shes way to happy in there!! x

My friend just said to me.... "why don't you get OH to give you a sweep"

I think when people say your first is always late it's a load of rubbish, I know lots of people who have been early with their first. People keep saying to me they think I'll be early but I guess you'll never really know until the day actually arrives! Not much of a helpful answer, sorry! x

i dont know about that lol! I dont even know what my cycle is naturally cos i was on the pill for so many years before i got pregnant! x

aw fair enough mine kinda varies between 28 days and 2 months lol :/ it was cause of being on the pill it got muffed up and never really righted itself x

This is an interestting question! I have had a fairly inactive pregnancy too. It would be good to know if that might make me more likely to go over. Although people tell me I am going to go early coz of these bad pains I have been having. I think when she is ready she is ready.

What I have also been wondering is due date calculated from last period versus due date calculated from conception. My book said the pregnancy lasts 266 days from conception (or something like that - can't remember the exact number off the top of my head). Well I know I ovulated on the 15th september and we only dtd on the 15th and 16th - so using that date gives a due date of 8th june rather than the 15th calculated from the date of my last period. It will be interesting to see won't it?

Cherelle I read that too but I put a thread on about it and a lot of the girls who had long cycles hadn't went late. Cos I have long cycles and thought oh great I'll defo be late then. So who knows. Think we all need to be patient lol x
