I have just given AJ Lettuce, Cucumber, Tomatos, Ham & Cheese.

I see allover Facebook people my age that have children saying taking my boy/girl to Mcdonalds, then the next day sausage mash and beans for their tea. I think it's bad that their children aren't given one healthy meal a day.

I try my hardest to make AJ eat healthily and so far so good, He loves most fruit and veg apart from he doesn't like oranges or carrots. Once in a while a treat is acceptable but everyday:shock:

My LO has just has chicken nuggets with cheese+brocoli pasta for her lunch. Not exactly packed with veg, but there's some in there, and as long as she's getting it one way or another, then I try not to worry much. :)

It's pretty nice, but you have to watch out for sneaky salt they put in it these days! X

Egg mayo sarnie, some organix crisps, banana, yogurt and some raisins. Water to drink.
I think a mc d once in a while doesn't hurt. But not till they are older xxxxxx

My lo had a cheese sandwich, a satsuma, banana, and half an apple. Oh and a yoghurt. He loves fruit! On an average day he eats about five or six pieces.

Jack had mushroom & tomato gnocchi, a fruit pot & some water. He hasn't even had chocolate yet and won't until he's 1 let alone McDonalds! He refuses to eat finger foods at the moment so I make sure he gets plenty of fruit & veg in his meals! x

I don't see anything wrong in sausage and mash! We had it yesterday with broccoli too.

Sebastian didn't have chocolate or biscuits etc until recently (he's 16 months now) and then it's only once in a while but we don't make a big fuss over it being special or a treat, it's just a different type of food. He still hasn't had crisps or mcD's though he did have a grilled chicken burger with apple and water from burger king last Friday.

Today we had ham, cheese and salsa quesadillas, a banana and a yogurt for lunch and is currently tucking into chicken and vegetable stir fry :)
Clairebear can I have your gnocchi recipe please xx

Aoibheann had shepards pie and apple slices with yogurt afterwards . Lily had steamed fish , pease and chees sauce pureed

I'll PM you when Jack's sleeping hun. Makes enough to feed the family & it's delicious! x

Id like the gnocci recipe too please! M didnt have chocolate until last week and that was only a few milky buttons, he hasnt had mcds either, i dont see the harm once every now and then but its ot something i will do regularly eg chocolate and crisps!

Once Jack's a year old it'll be everything in moderation. TBH the in-laws will try to pump tons of junk into him at the weekend (they'll have a fight on their hands lol) so i'll let them fork out for treats and not give them to him during the week

Amy i'll PM you too, typical of Jack to not be tired when I have things to do lol x

When my mum came to visit she was shocked i hadnt given him chocolate a d was almost offended when i refused to let her buy him some! She gave him a sneaky packet lf crisps...which he loved, but i dont buy them for him! Just the organix kids ones!!

ALL of mine & OH's family can't understand why we haven't let Jack have chocolate yet! My MIL is the worst, she's even bought him a baby tin of chocolate oudding even though we've told them he's not trying chocolate until he's a year! Every bloody weekend she mentions that it's in the cupboard and we had chocate gateau for pudding last weekend and she said' Can I give Jack some choclate moussy stuff off the top?'. I nearly said 'is he 1 yet?, No, well what do you reckon then?'! Instead I just firmly shook my head!

Funny thing is though I know for a fact he'll take it, lick it (if they're lucky) and chuck it on the floor like he does with all other finger foods!! The only thing he'll suck on is raw carrot sticks, apple slices and a stick of cheese and even then it's only once in a blue moon! x

No don't get me wrong I didn't mean people are bad for giving there LO's sausage and mash and things like that but EVERYDAY is a joke!! my mum and my grandma sometimes come round with a milkyway or a milkybar for aj and thats fine, but I don't give him chocolate biscuits and things like that he has rich tea :)
