...you've been given so far? I am asking this question in reference to another thread and I liked the idea of collating the advice given :) We could publish a book lol.

My favourite advice is from my mother in relation to anything that involves me leaving the house in a pregnant state;

1) make sure you don't crash your car!
and
2) don't slip on the ice!

because I was planning to do both of those :rotfl:

People keep telling me really obvious things that I have to do to stay alive anyway!!

My Mum: Make sure you eat

My Grandma: Be careful when you're crossing the road now (like it wouldn't matter if I got mowed down when not pregnant  )

How do they think I survived up until now??

We were at a family dinner a while ago, and I was talking about how I was planning to go swimming every week, and my Mum asked if I could still use saunas and jacuzzis.

At that point, my SIL piped up - 'oh no, you can't go in jacuzzis because the bubbles can go up your lady bits and damage the baby' and she wasn't joking!

So heed that advice ladies - it's nothing to do with the heat - it's the risk of bubbles going up your chuff that's the real danger :rotfl:

Chopsie I've just laughed out loud at that chuff comment! Haha...

My Mum, bless her, gave me this helpful advice when talking about me going to visit my friend in Spain in April....

"Make sure you don't pack your suitcase so that it's too heavy".....

I looked at her with disappointment and said 'really?! I was rather looking forward to struggling with my bag whilst 6 months pregnant....."

Still, it's with good intention so I had to bite my tongue haha...

My sister has totally turned into a right mammy every time I'm out with her, you know how your mum used to put her hand out to stop you running into the road when you were a kid?! I'm like, cheers, you didn't care about me getting run over before then, and it's not like I've got a massive bump limiting my speed just yet you know.

:rotfl: fantastic about the sauna!!

my nan is the same when we had snow a few weeks back she told me not to go outside as i could "fall" in my condition! for gods sake, we never get snow in cornwall and i was definitely gonna go out and make the most of it!

i hate the fussing it drives me mental and i just get sarcastic back!
