Charlie is pretty good, she goes down about 7.30 and wakes about 3-4 for a feed then sleeps til 7.
i have tried feeding her at 11.30 ish when i go to bed but she still wakes up. I know im very lucky, but if anyone has any tips let me know!!!

Huh Uhm...... lucky YOU!!!!! :shakehead:
I have absolutely no advice, but wondered if you might want to swap babies for a while?

Ella slept triugh at 4 weeks, I can honestly say I didnt do anything different I think its down to the baby and when they decide they will sleep through! ella was the same woke at around 4am for a feed, but then she dropped this feed herself and was waking at 6am, then 7 am and now 8 or sometimes 9am. it gradually got later and later. is it very dark in your room becuase any lightcan wake them?

I guess it could be, its just starting to get light at about 3-30 to 4am. She has slept through a few times, and it has been wonderful. I guess atleast she bobs back after her 4am and 7am feeds. Im not moaning, im just intregued, and it would be nice!
Emilia, cute and talented but sooooooooooo spoilt and naughty

hate to post a downer but ewan is 9 months and still doesn't sleep through, he wakes once and if we are lucky will some times sleep through.

i've tried everything and nothing makes any difference

Oliver was waking every two hours, then one night he slept for 8 hours. I was awake waiting for him to wake. My boobs were hugh, got strech marks just from that night! He sleeps for about fivr hours now, but I still want more sleep!

Dom has slept through since he was about 4 months (7pm till 5am for a feed then through till 7.30am), which I am told is good for booby fed babies as they tend to need feeding more frequently.

He has been sleeping now totally through since he was 6 months - 7pm till 7am.

The tip I can give is stuff their faces during the day so they have so much food (the required amount of course ;) and that they don't wake for hunger at night and then you don't tend to get into the feeding every time they are awake trap as sometimes they don't really need food but a cuddle and will then not be able to settle without cuddle/food.

This meant I forever seemed to be booby feeding, but it paid off at night time and now he is being weaned he eats 3 meals a day and snacks in between.

Hope this helps babe :)

why dont you try giving Carlie water on the 4am feed?, its what i done with Dior, then she soon got used to not having milk through the night, and gave up on waking

are you sure Charlie actually needs a feed?

I know you are her mum, so you know best, but Maheen used to wake up like this, and one night, she woke up, so I was gonna go and feed her, but my husband stopped me, saying I should wait to see if she is really hungry, and to my big surprise, she just went back to sleep!!
now, she goes to sleep at around 22:10 and goes till 09:30.
She does wake up at night, i can hear her talking sometimes, but she always goes back to sleep.
she has been sleeping through for quite a while now, and as I said, the only thing we did is actually to give ity time becfore going to feed her!
Hope she sleeps longer soon!

We did this with Oliver, I fed him every two hours as sson as he moved!! Then one night I feel back to sleep by accident and so did he. Now he seems to be lasting 5 hours in night without waking for a feed.

Yeah im sure that she actually needs the feed, as she only drinks 20-25oz per day (not much...is it?) How can i get her to feed more during the day?????? She sems to have settled in to a routine, 10am, 2, 6pm, 3am feeds @ 5-6ozs

Hmm, I am not sure, hun!
Maheen follows the same kind of routine, half an hour difference!
she now feeds at 09:30am, 13:30, 17:30, 21:30, and sleeps right through till 09:30 am next day! she drinks 210ml each time, except in the morning, she SOMETIMES drinks 240ml, but not always.
But there are times she won't drink as much, depending on her tummy (she still sufferes from trap wind down there!!!)

Have you tried to feed her a little bit more? maybe not a full Oz? I use ml, so I sometimes prepare 30ml more (easy for the scoop!!), and see what Maheen drinks! because she never cries to show she is hungry, so I have to just test mjore drink and see what she takes! Maybe Charlie is the same! maybe by just taking a little bit more, she will gradually sleep longer?
I wish I could help, Hun, it just happened, I don't know the secret!

let us know how it goes!

Unfortunatley i have to really encourage her to take 5-6oz! Up until recently she only used to take 3oz!!!
If i stop half way through to wind her she looses intrest and wont finish the bottle then. I have tried waking her at 11.30 when i go to bed to feed her, but she still wakes at 3-4am!

yes, I know what you mean, Maheen has had a period of this as well!
she still does, sometimes! and usually, she wriggles a lot, and start screaming!!! so we can't finish the bottle!
we now have to feed where there is nothing happening, otherwise, she doesn't drink! :wall:

I really don't know what to suggest, I guess, it will happen without you doing anything for it! but I know what it's like to wait for it!! I still get stressed every evening, fearing she will wake up! :?

When Max was about 3 months old i started to not feed him one night as i was so tired i didnt even realise why he was stirring  i picked him and cuddled him till he went back to sleep, he wasnt really crying for food, just sort of winghing a bit, so i think thats why i just didnt even notice the time etc  After a few nights of that he slept from 9-9 and i woke in a panic!!! now he has his last fed at 7 and sleeps till about 6 unless its really sunny and he wakes up about 5.30!!!

Good luck with whatever you try, you could also try giving him one small amout of solid food during the day maybe his eveing meal to fill him up more, maybe babyrice or something?
